Finishing up groceries. Enjoying the snow. Watching TV. Assigned a few shops for Jan. Planning a nice menu for 3 days and also dreading the weight gain!! Oh well, diet and workout again in Jan. Guess, I will enjoy the last 3 days. @Irene_L.A., btw plenty of good restaurant and bakery shops in ur area..don't know where u r exactly in LA and if u r signed up with BM..
Thx, I'm in the subs, 30 miles No. of Beverly Hills. I only go into the city if I have 4 jobs to do and Coyle has tons of restaurants in Santa Monica which I get emails for. I don't eat sweets, so bakery's not for me. Too difficult driving the 405 into the city for a lunch, so I stay in my town or go to the Valley (Encino/Woodland Hills), where my friends live, easier drive. I am driving to the Northridge mall next week, the 118 much easier for me. L.A. has so many great restaurants, and my town is getting places as well...did Stone Fire Grill in my town, which I love, just a couple weeks ago, it is owned by woman (I know their background), I like to support them, great fresh food.

More bad weather blowing in. I say this as it is a frosty 27 degrees. This is the good weather. It's cloudy and overcast with a few snowflakes falling. I don't mind snow. I even enjoy shoveling as long as there isn't 6 feet of it. But I saw the words "freezing rain" in the 10 day forecast. I'm not scheduling any shops. I'm having trouble forcing myself to go to the grocery store. I was raised in the super heated desert and I just can't get used to this.
CQ. sorry, my daughter also lives with below freezing, gotta be tough, love our winters. Today favorite's, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's, 2/3 miles from home. Lunch at WF, reports and a lazy day after reports. Watch movies.

Enjoying the evening... I worked, shopped, reported, communed, personally shopped, contemplated, planned, and pondered. I finished everything just in time to see the wide open spaces beneath a big moon. Love this! smiling smiley

A few reports. Glad I didn't have to go out in the -33°C temperatures. But I did bundle up and go for a walk while the sun was shining.
I slipped in a couple of bonused morning shops... and then extended the anniversary celebration with my wife for a second day because.... Why not?

Just cleaning house today. The place got pretty cluttered/messy with all the Christmas festivities.
For the first time ever, I started a new year by following the expressed priorities. So far, so good. Now, I am pooped and need a nap. Napping is good, and it is allowed, guilt-free, in 2018. Even that is according to plan. grinning smiley

And, after reading my recent drek, I realze that I need a new plan. I need to reduce my use of commas by approximately 97%.

Napping has no calories, zero carbs and good for the soul taking away stress....I will also vow to get my sticky keys fixed in 2018, but, i don't know when. Now that everyone's vowed not to correct spelling have no reason to fix.....

I spent the better part of the day trying to get dressed in layers so that I could go out and get a few things. It took me awhile to figure it out because I'm not used to it. I finally got back and am now baking a black forest cake for a friend who is having a birthday today.
Lannie and I clean house some and put down cockroach stuff , hoope it does the job. Never had any until we allow our son to move back in from living in a apartment complex.
Slept late, made breakfast for lunch, took a nap, sunflowers for a cemetery visit, cleaned bathroom. and made a nice supper. Back to reality tomorrow, lol.
After eleven days of going alarm-less I set it for tomorrow morning when I rolled out of bed today :-(

Day 2 of new year... sleepy peon's log... sleepwalked to loud alarm, terminated clamorous din. did 50% of daily workout, guzzled caffeine, perused to-do-list. briefly pondered swapping lives with uber-organized soul. no dat, remembers inner perfectionist, shudders. could switch up and have captain's log. could delegate all tasks to peons.

Alieda, what do you do when you work with kids at the school? Are you a parent helper in the classroom? smiling smiley

Today I need to go to our local rec center and get my son signed up for the next set of swimming lessons. He really likes it but now that it is getting so cold out I'll have to make sure he's dried off really good before we go outside to head home.

Tonight my mom is coming over for dinner.
It's 8:00 in the morning, the first period of the new year starts in thirty minutes and my room is already full of calculus students..... And I don't have that class until third period!

#1 New York Times Bestselling author, a long hard look at the horrors of sugar. After my job and duties today,
I will start reading and learning more about the doom and gloom of sugar on one's health. I already have started this way of eating, and look forward to learning more.

Did the dishes, made the bed, making beef and barley soup in the crockpot from prime rib bones (made a prime rib roast a few days ago). Waiting for the temps to "warm" up a little since it is 7 degrees outside with a wind chill of -2. Got some post offices and convenience store shops to do but I will wait until it is a balmy 14 degrees before I leave, LOL. I am only going to work for 2 hours because it's a narrow window of "warmer" temps before it falls back into the single digits again. Sigh. Thank goodness for heated seats!
Can't imagine the cold, we complain when it's 40%, you should hear what goes on, so spoiled in L.A. stay warm.
