I've been enjoying a three day weekend with Hubby, who is a Federal employee and had the day off yesterday. Nothing on the calendar today or tomorrow, which is unheard of.

Church this morning. Later we will go to my mom's house to watch the Broncos game. My step-dad will make dinner, he makes the best tacos and tostadas. It's a late game and my son already had a late night yesterday so we will spend the night at my mom's. He can sleep while the rest of us watch the game.
Packing for my two-week trip to Texas to visit relatives. I was able to book a Coyle hotel shop with a pool for a 2-night stay so I am looking forward to that as well, and it will help offset some of my travel expenses.
I went to my church today. It's always a good service, but today really touched me!

Today has been nice and lazy. This week will be super busy with deep cleaning the house, a coven meeting and baking for the holiday.

Mundane gal here. Waiting until dentist's office opens and they can tell me when they will fit me in regarding my broken tooth. Everything else is in limbo because of this tooth! Fortunately, I only scheduled merch tasks that have a generous time frame for completion. This makes it okay to stay in town today, deal with the tooth or at least schedule something for it, and attend a presentation this evening. So good. smiling smiley

This should be the day that the new combo washer/dryer unit actually gets installed in the kitchen. Places have been prepared for the runs of water and drain lines needed. Barring totally unexpected glitches, I should be merrily doing laundry. (Just as I typed "laundry" my contractor called me with an ETA.) Fortunately my contractor has also been my next door neighbor for 34 years and I know him to be meticulous in scoping out possible problems before they pop up.

While he is working in the kitchen, I have a major bathroom cleaning to do in my master bath, and a quick run for groceries.

Annual appt. with skin Dr., library, (printer down), to print out authorization letter for BV job this afternoon.
Pouring new cement in complex, had to park blocks away, no driving for 48 hours.....maybe lunch out before job.

Recovering from last week and weekend. Went back to work to rest, lol. Between 2 days of airplanes and layovers, the conference, going to my granddaughter's birthday party Fri-Sun in Austin, I was dragging.
Wonderful lunch job today, home and hanging around, house stuff needs attending to, going to take it easy.
Many AARP jobs Wed. throughout the month. Funny, how some pay well, and others, not so well.....go with the flow. Weather amazing 75%, talk of light rain, somewhere, not up here.

Just out of curiosity, did you know many of our members are men, including several who have been responding to this thread?

I had an appointment with my dentist today for a deep cleaning. Why did I not eat first??

Because the weather wasn't bad today I put Christmas lights on the deck railing (and then put the electrical outlet/automatic timer in a cabinet where I can find it and plug everything in on Thanksgiving Day).

Because I feel like unprintable and the new temporary tooth repair already fell out, I am moping and sniveling and grousing. Myyynnnyyyah. The real repair happens next week. This waiting seems like forever...

Going to the grocery store after work to get pie ingredients. I'm still adjusting to the daylight ending earlier. Starting to do more interior things. Maybe I'll get that button back on tonight.
Taking and passing the HS Brands casino test. Treating myself to lunch at a great local deli. Being a bit lazy.

Watching the news and having my morning coffee as we speak. Restaurant today, time, my choice and it's for one with an easy report. Looking to see if the movie "Lady Bird" is playing, got rave reviews about a Mother and
daughter....want to see it. Their building a new Independent movie house, checking to see if it's open. Car wash,
errands, home to a bit of sweeping out garage, throwing yet more stuff away and such.....looking for jobs.....

Shop et al, when I broke a tooth I went to Walgreen's and found this soft dental cement for missing crowns/cavity repair. It filled in the missing part so that the sharp edges did not cut my tongue (it was a back molar and about 1/3 of it on the interior side broke off). Once you put it in place you rub the area with hot water and it hardens. There is a generous amount in the little tub so that if it doesn't last the first time you fix it, you can do it again. The second time I did the self repair it held until I was able to get to the dentist, which was about two weeks later--just try not to chew on that side so it stays put! The little tub costs about $5.

I am going out to dinner to night , it will be a early Thanksgiving Dinner with friends at the country club all menber of NEwcommers.
I went to the National Symphony Orchestra yesterday for a concert. They were at a new venue. It was absolutely stunning!

Prior to curtain, the musicians were tweaking, fiddling, doing their thing. The sound was...chaotic and noisy. The conductor comes out, and all the bows were aligned. One swiff of his arm, one sound, and there was beautiful music!

After to work going to Walmart to pickup an online order. Then preparing final paperwork and directions for this weekend's shops - it's a busy one. I'm already listening to Christmas music.
Today was work after work errands, and completing a report for an apartment shop.

Tomorrow is brunch with some friends. I always look at the menus beforehand so I can make a healthy choice. My eyes stopped at the Lobster Shepard's Pie.
