What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Four shop reports; bank for cash for this week's parking shops; pick up Rx; late afternoon house tour and interview for prospective housemate; laundry. Keeping fingers crossed that this prospect, who seems like a really good "fit" will take the apartment for Nov 1. No vacancy is THE best was to do rentals of any kind.

Two groceries, writing one report, watch a movie, go out do second....more food than I know what to do with.
Why can' I stay within the reimbursement. Now making Borst, as I watched a nutrition program on the benefits of beets, expect my brain to surge into high speed....proving the Doc right......T.V., computer stuff, days fly by.....

Made a bowl of baked beans to take to a pot luck and finished up a report from yesterday's parking shop. It's turned into dreary fall here, so now that the 'have tos' are taken care of I think a nap is in order.

Just got through with work for the day, did my Bone Broth demo and then a convenience store shop on the way home. Drinking a glass of wine and getting ready to unload my car of the demo supplies and make my veggie pizzas.
What kind of wine? I'm drinking Vendage Chardonnay.

Well, I started out with a glass of Antigal 2013 Malbec...actually a glass and a half. Very tasty. Finishing off the bottle from last night. Just opened a bottle of Sonoma Decoy Red Zinfandel...don't recall which year (I could go look) It's yummy too.

Vendage has decent whites, don't like their reds at all.
I haven't gotten into Zins yet. I taste them at Total Wines or Rips, and I'll buy a bottle if one wows me. I'm just getting into malbecs and red blends. I'll give Antigal a try.

Some dude at Total Wines introduced me to Vendage. I bought a bottle to try, and it's now my staple wine! I buy both the chards and the cabs. I just finished a chard.

I think Vendage reds are acidic and have a strong tannin taste, but their whites are good. Oh, I just looked and we are spelling it wrong, it's Vendange.

I personally don't much like most of the red blends. I think it might be that some vintners are taking leftovers (bottom of the barrel) and blending to pass it off. The Antigal Malbec was really good, and I also like Di Seno for a good Malbec. Neither of them are too expensive ($10-$15 a bottle depending on where you are shopping). Some of the red zins are amazing. Cline, Seven Deadly Zins, Zinfomania...there are a lot of really decent but not too expensive ones out there. This Decoy is really damn good. My husband might be annoyed because it was a Christmas gift to us but he's out of town so I am drinking it alone...the people who got it for us probably paid $25 for it. Cheers!
One of my favorite everyday wines is a red blend, Gypsy by Chariot wines. It is one of those Trader Joe's wines that tastes like it costs a lot more.

This afternoon my son has an appointment with his orthopedist. He was born with club feet so he has regular follow up with the orthopedist. He seems to be doing fine so I'm not anticipating any problems.
Wow! Taking the new housemate's one month rent deposit to the bank! One year lease signed this morning! Best thing yet; she is a kindred spirit for both my current, long time, housemate and me. We all chatted for 90 minutes yesterday and all agreed that we will be very happy to share the house long term!

I am trying to put together November shops. This is not so easy. I am out of rotation for many shops, and it would be easier to take a month off and do all the shops in December instead of a few here and there. Suddenly, 2018 flashed as if in a materializing calendar... I shop every three months at all locations... I work at the other job between shops... I have lots of free time just for me... This sounds like a plan.

Actually, no one wants a 4th for this house. With 3 of us no one shares a bedroom, a bathroom or a kitchen. One of the 2 master bedrooms has its own fridge, slow cooker and oven and that housemate prefers not to share a kitchen, so it suits her just fine. I have the main kitchen. The garden level apartment has private kitchen, bedroom, bath, sitting room with fireplace, patio, and storage space. After 37 years of house-sharing plus a few years as a university residence housemother, I know where the frictions turn up in this sort of living, and have designed this place to eliminate 99% of the most common ones. This will be the first time in more than 8 years with an all female household, though.

I am thinking of getting a landscaper over here to clean up my backyard. I saw a neighbor's oldest son yesterday washing his car and asked him if he would be interested in making $100. He said yeah, and I told him I needed some yardwork done, just picking up sticks and branches out of the backyard, doing a quick rake (we haven't had a lot of leaves fall just yet) pulling a few weeds, and giving it a quick mow. Might take 4-5 hours at the most. He said, "Nah, I don't do yardwork." I asked him if he couldn't use $100, and he said with a smirk, "Well yeah, but I can get $100 from my mom and dad without having to do any work at all." Kids these days.
Have to make copies for personal stuff, housework, computer stuff, then at four, another Krogers. Will check pool and see if anyones there...gonna be hot today with temp's rising to 100%. now that I bought a cute sweater coat for fall, and put my sleeveless away.....

I called off.a.shop today ,I have be feeling the worse pains in my.left side since Thursday , going to the doctor on Wednesday.
I had one shop today, but combined it with personal shopping errands. Put the groceries away and made the base for an experiment casserole. Forgot to get my hair cut and the stylist doesn't work tomorrow.

I have big plans for tomorrow. The dog and I are going to play ball.

OP, hope your little one is feeling better.

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
After my son's nap this afternoon we will go get the last of our needed Halloween stuff. Tonight my mom is coming over to have dinner and watch This Is Us.
Hoping that all is well or at least improving in everyone's world. Cramming shops and other jobs into the rest of this month. Cleaning the freezer. Doing the happy scooch on the chair (I am too sleepy to get up and dance) because the jeans I am wearing are thisclose to too big. This is a good thing, because dancing would probably cause the jeans to fall off of me.

Waiting for a phone call from the three Electric car shops i did last month. They called and said if Id speak with them about the shops, I'd get $25.00 for a 10 minute survey like call. Watching news, heat back up with winds,
worried again about fires....ugh! playing on computer, secret pleasure is playing Candy Crush, which is now a T.V. show. later, bringing a bag of clothes to Salvation Army, Pharmacy and stuff......World Series...go Dodgers.....will be watching, L.A. going crazy.....

Took the morning off, my eyes are red, teary, itchy and swollen from me rubbing, but I'm not congested, can't figure it out. Never had it this bad before. Work this afternoon (sort of), paperwork later, play with the dogs, and leftovers for supper, country style pork ribs, mashed potatoes, pinto beans.
Allergies abound in this weather with the winds and dust from the fires blowing around, up to taking 6 drops daily for eye allergies. More fires breaking out, not in my area, thank G__.

I'm working on a case study for graduate school. The paper is done; that was the easy part. Formatting it in APA style is time consuming.

JAS, the red blends are hit or miss. Since I am learning them, I am keeping them under $9.99 and I make sure they have corks. I had one a few weeks ago, 16 Hands, and it was tannic and too complex. It was also $16.99.

I'm drinking a glass of VENDANGE cab right now. Thank you for the correction!

I had a dentist appointment for tooth cleaning and my first Medicare Advantage plan shop for the year. I love Open Enrollment season! Yesterday I pulled the tomato plants and now I have about ten pounds of green fruit I need to figure out what to do with....and I don't do fried.

Oh man, fried green tomatoes are so awesome, you should reconsider. You don't have to submerge them in grease. I do a light breading and sautee them. Mmmmm.
Fried would be good once, but I have SERIOUS green fruit to get rid of :-)
