Don't feel bad JAS. His asshattery is never ending. He drove within a mile and a half of me a few weeks back and didn't say hello either.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I will be on a route so good thing you did not want the futon to crash!

I went wild and bought a bunch of things on Amazon. They all got delivered today. It's like Christmas.
Other than what's required for shops and family events, I don't buy anything--online or in brick and mortar stores. So, am I the only one who is surprised by a Sunday delivery?
Amazon delivers on Sundays and holidays and up to about 10 PM at night. If you are a Prime member, you can even get TWO HOUR delivery on some items you order online from Amazon.
LOL! Amazon, you might be tomorrow's wee wonderment, in which we may consider the potentail relationship between instant and delayed gratification and larger life. If there is any correlation, we may explore how this or these factors may affect individuals, families, and societies.

Or, not.

We might just want to enjoy Autumn. I am lovin' it! There is just enough snow to be picturesque but not enough to be dangerous. This is one of those perfect days.

ETA: oh, unprintable. I posted too soon. Roads were closed and I stayed home instead of going into the wild white yonder and merchandising. It's okay. I am doing house tasks and watching the last two Harry Potter flicks. The best thing about the movies is that the kids aged naturally, but the adults did not age at all. Was that magic? haha. The second best thing is that Harry found his balls and kept his feet on the ground, in a manner of speaking. haha. At a few points in these films, I wondered whether Harry was a Hogwarts-era Elijah. Both fellows experienced assorted foes/Jezebels, were cowardly for awhile, and then manned up and did what they needed to do. They had a little help along the way. They were changed by their experiences. We get a few lessons from their stories.

Shopped the parking garage next to a major clothing retailer yesterday. Walked in the door with a $20 and a $10 coupon, found that the cashier had a 20% off coupon for me. Walked out with items that were all on sale, even before the coupons, all needed to fill serious wardrobe gaps, and paid $64 instead of $210. (Plus, reimbursed parking and a $20 fee for the parking job.)

Now that's a good shopping day! My kitchen floor will be completed today, the plumber will come and install the toilet (no more running upstairs all day) and the bathroom sink. Then I can clean out the tub where the workers have been putting all their dirty tools and stuff and hang the shower curtain and the bathroom will be complete except for the new light fixture and medicine cabinet. I'm just happy to have a downstairs sink and toilet finally. I went with a rather somber tone of denim blue in the bathroom, and a white bead board vanity and medicine cabinet. I gotta say it really looks good.
My mom's washing machine broke and she's having a repair man fix it today. He was only able to come during the hours she works so I'll go to her house for a few hours to let him in and pay him when he's finished.
I spent a beautiful weekend in Philadelphia with Mom and Dad. They kept asking me if I wanted to go out. Uhm, I am out. I got back to Maryland today.

I need to go to my bank today. Tonight I have my church small group. After small group my mom will come over to watch This Is Us.
Don't you love that show? I do. I"m also a Survivor fan. Other than that I pretty much just watch whatever the wife wants. It's all the same to me.

I am enjoying some old music that I love. This is good stuff! It's kinda spiritual, kinda loud, and kinda thought-provoking. I was rummaging around in a thrift store one day and... there it was. That was a good use of a quarter. It has provided about a thousand dollars worth of pleasure, and there are more good musical moments with it in my future. Such a deal!

I ran around putting out fires. I had planned on keeping my old sink but the plumber came over and told me it was about shot (the seals) and to get a new one. Had to go to Lowe's and pick out a sink I didn't want or like and a new faucet. Then we discovered plumbing issues. The plumber said now that the bathroom floor is fixed the lip of the something or other wouldn't work with the toilet, another new purchase we didn't think we needed. We had to buy a 10 inch rough in. For those of you who don't know, like I didn't, most toilets these days are 12 inch rough ins. Some old houses need 10. So I had to drive 40 minutes each way to a neighboring town to buy one. I came home and we have nothing to eat and my spouse is hungry and in pain, so off I go to KFC. I get there and the drive through fascist wouldn't let me get 4 drumsticks instead of 2 drumsticks and 2 thighs. So I am not proud of it but I snapped. I told her that I had someone at home who wouldn't eat anything but drumsticks (all true) and if she was going to insist on telling me what I could and couldn't buy then I was going to go buy my $*%^ chicken somewhere else, which I did. I hope to be better behaved tomorrow.
