What are you doing today? (besides shopping)

Flu shot this morning then on to my last video shop of the month. The excessive heat, humidity and poor air quality have finally been chased away by a lovely cool front and autumn has returned!

I am getting ready for some demos I am doing at a local health food store tomorrow and Saturday, refreshing my memory on the products and gathering items I need to take with me. I also am watching the chipmunk and the squirrel out back eating sunflower seeds. I put sunflower seeds out on the deck rail. The chipmunk (Alvin) runs up the tree, jumps off on the rail, stuffs his cheeks, runs back down to his cave in the rocks, and does it all over again. I have another pile further down on the rail. The squirrel (Oscar) has gotten so lazy he is lying down in the middle of the pile of seeds and eating, with his legs splayed out and hanging over each side of the rail. Funny stuff.
Yup. Haven't had tulips in 15 years for that very reason.

Edited to add that they are so spoiled that digging up bulbs is probably beneath them in this day and age.

Going to do some computer work at Panera (love their bagels), errands, no work till 5:00, then another Ross.
Home for phone calls and a bit of cleaning, the job that just keeps giving. Tomorrow is a big work day so, today
easy does it. Loving the weather, fall is in the air!!

I love Ross. I used to shop at them in Florida and Texas (not MSing). I wish they had them here.
Today got better! We passed through a double rainbow on the way back from a last-minute shop gig. So there were wide open spaces, a bit of techni-colored archery, and miles and miles in which to enjoy them. So good.

After two morning reports, I am making a donation run: wire hangers to the dry cleaning place; clothing and personal care stuff to a local shelter; tons of household stuff to the local charity resale shop. Then taking housemate out to lunch as a thank you for he help in loading and unloading at those drop-offs.

I'm going grocery shopping with my mom and we'll stop at Starbucks first. Later today, if I have time, I'll buy my step-dad his birthday present.
Must clean the car, do a little merch task, and finish a book.

Making concoctions for my demo. I am demoing a protein powder for Ancient Nutrition (Dr. Axe) and I made a banana creme protein shake with almond milk and a chocolate (also almond milk) protein shake (I think the two could be layered for a banana-chocolate yum taste!). I also made a rainbow quinoa brown rice dish with purple carrots, turmeric protein, dehydrated onion & garlic, sea salt and ground multicolored peppercorns. It's all organic and non-GMO ingredients. Everything turned out quite nicely. Gonna hop in the shower and pack up my demo case in the next few hours. Sell, sell, sell!
I've tried their bone broth powder before. Haven't taken it long enough to know if it's benefiting me yet.

I spent the day supervising the painter. It was mentally exhausting. Tomorrow, more cabinets go in so we can have the measurements taken for the countertops. I can't believe how long all this takes.
@JASFLALMT, I follow Dr Axe, too. Unfortunately, I don't do half of what he recommends, but better than nothing.
Yeah, I don't do everything I should either, but the BBP is pretty amazing stuff. One of the perks of doing the demos is free product. I have been using the BBP since January. My hair, skin, and nails look great and my shoulder pain is gone. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it works. I was also kind of weirded out at first that it comes in different flavors. At first I would not use anything but the pure and the turmeric (which are both really good). But then I started mixing the vanilla flavor in my coffee and I love it. But, I didn't change my diet as much as I probably should have, LOL. A lot of the other demo associates are against using salt and sugar, etc. I love both! Some of them don't do dairy, but I love cream and cheese. Sigh. Nobody's perfect smiling smiley

Uh-oh. Someone mentioned perfect. The Inner Perfectionist Began To Tingle. Then, She Began To Roar. She Really Wanted To Do Something With That Perfection.

So, now I will turn to a topic where perfection is not an issue. *Takes deep breath, imagines world in which imperfection rules everything, feels better.*

My fave little pants are almost falling off of me now. I held them up with a belt just so that I could wear them one more time before passing them along and breaking in a new pair in the next smaller size. This made me feel wonderful! I accomplished this feat despite eating junk food occasionally and eating nutrient-dense foods most of the time. The most important factor for me was to give myself the gift of free time, in which I can sleep, rest, relax, work out, stretch out, sort out, go out, read until my eyeballs fall out, or just stay home and do things like the current TBBT mini-marathon.

This is so fun! I get to enjoy this currently smaller size on the way to the next smaller size. Eventually, I will be in the size that I think is right for me. Until then, I am going to relax and have fun.

Waiting for my vehicle to be fixed. This may mean that I cannot escape the need to clean another bathroom, hang a new shower curtain, and clear out my refrigerator. Sigh.

I have my accordion lesson this morning. This afternoon I plan to go shopping for my step-dad's birthday present.
Celebrating my son's B'Day early on the weekend. Grilling some steaks, homemade fries, corn on the BBQ pit, and brownies. Went to Walmart and shopped for a care package for my daughter at college. Stalking the forum, lol. Really nice day not working. I think that cold front stalled or didn't make it yet. Hot and muggy in south central TX.
6 hour drive, watched some football while I did my reports from yesterday. Now I'm headed out to the casinos!

It is nearly time for the early morning/night job. I am thrilled and excited because this month, I have scheduled two shop/merch days and one or two others will happen only if a presumably recurring project is re-assigned. Do you know what this means?!? It means there is time for me to read whatever I want to read and have time left over for personal projects. You will not be surprised if I include a few "controversial" Dr. Seuss books in my personally selected October reading list. After all, some critics suggest that one or more of Dr. Seuss' works might refer to Theodore Geisel's stance against Adolf Hitler. Dr. Seuss, according to one PhD in a fifteen minute moment of fame, must be educated out of our awareness and into oblivion whilst we, perhaps like modern-day Neros, fiddle around with other books. Fortunately, next month will contain Holocaust awareness events, and there will be opportunities for me to include information about that in my personal reading, studies, and reflections. I love broad-based reading! What about you?

I stayed in bed until noon and then did laundry.

Baking my step-dad's birthday cake and making cauliflower "buffalo wings". Then later watching the Bronco game with my mom and step-dad.
After a week of enforced inactivity, I will go out and do a Sonic shop, (to obtain free tea), go run other sundry errands and choose a shoe rack for the mini-mud wall I'm creating behind the back door. I"ll go buy doggie treats as my wife left the empty container next to the coffee pot. I think it might be a hint. After all of that I'll come home and finish mowing the lawn. My kitchen now has cabinets. Yay! Only floors, counter tops and backs plash left to go.
Finished my electric car report...couldn't wait to get home and write the negative report on the Salesman.
Rest of day all mine, going to a sweet place with water, ducks and a book, very pretty, will enjoy, inhale the brisk sunshine and take a walk,
did you know ducks eat cherrio's.
