A farmer near me created housing for a temporary worker using 2 40' shipping containers. He allowed me to tour it. He said once the containers were delivered, all he needed was a welder to weld them together and cut out windows and doors. The outside still looked like containers, but inside was nice. Corning Glass provided the inside wall panels and installation for free.

Interesting. How did he swing the deal with Corning?
As for cutting doors and windows out, everything I have read says when you cut out you have to do a lot of reinforcing to mainyain the structural integrity. My plan is a glass wall at each end, living room on one end, brdroom on the other, with oepn kitchen and full bath in the middle.

Since I worked Saturday and Sunday, I slept in until 10 AM. Two reports to submit this AM. Then errands, to include: bank, Aldi , Costco, garden store, another bank, another (larger) grocery store. None of those are shops. This is just a day for me and to get my household ready for the rest of the month! Tomorrow, and for the next 7 days, I have shops every day. When Congress is in recess there is very little traffic in DC (except on the 4th) which makes it easy to do a ton of garages there. On the 4th, I will do suburban retail locations. (I hope to be able to resist the big sales.)

I am going to do some more retail therapy today. I bought these great Vera Wang sheets the other day and I liked them so much I decided to buy two more sets! And I went grocery shopping yesterday late afternoon and the store was not busy, I had some coupons I printed out online and combined them with the sale so I got some good deals. I don't work until Wednesday. I could do some work today but I don't want to since I will be working every day for the next two weeks.

I had big plans for today, but woke up with a headache that wouldn't go away. (I'm blaming the rotten "middle-aged-hot-flash" night I had last night). I felt like I was swimming under water all day, but managed to prep all my shops for this week and make a batch of falafel waffles that will serve for some quick lunches and snacks while I'm on the road.

Coffee Queen, Kohl's is having a great sale that ends tomorrow. I got bath towels 3 for $10, the Vera sheets were normally $140 and I paid $79 for them (king), and I also bought two small Rosetti crossbody purses that were normally $42 for $15 each. They've got a ton of stuff throughout the store on sale...they are calling it their Epic sale and it really is. I looked at clothes but saw nothing I liked. I love crossbody purses because they are small and great for walking.
