What are you having for dinner? AGAIN!

Mongolian tofu, Jasmine rice and sauteed bok choy ????. Oranges, apples and cupcakes.

Question marks appeared in lieu of a veggie pic, LOL.

I bought the ingredients for Vietnamese salad rolls - have never made them before, fingers crossed.
Big salad to clear out the fridge - arugula and spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, cucumbers, green peppers, carrots, black beans, quinoa, corn, tofu, walnuts, sunflower seeds with vinegar hot sauce.
Yum Okie and BB! Rigatoni with lots of Parmesan and fresh mozzarella. Grilled chicken skewers with tomato, onion, green peppers and zucchini. Strawberry yogurt and fresh strawberries.
Ramen with edamame and chicken bone stock. Comfort food since it’s finally getting cooler.
Bone broth with enoki and shiitake mushrooms, tofu, red pepper flakes, black peppercorn, lime. Topped it off with soy sauce marinated soft boiled eggs. Been staying away from chicken and eggs, but couldn't resist.
Okie, that sounds wonderful. Your own creation or were you following a recipe? almost seems photo worthy lol.

My dinner yesterday was kimbap from Aldi. I fell victim to the hype. IMO, it's all hype, won't be repeating.
For the bone broth, I used the Kettle and Fire brand. Sort of my own creation. I look around for ingredients and inspiration. I'm lazy though, where I don't fully go through with the prep and and exclude ingredients. I like mushrooms, tofu, and spicy food. I'm looking to experiment with broths. I may venture into pho next without the noodles. For seasoning and dressing, I keep it fresh and simple.

Not photo worthy. I've become a good sous-chef and good at washing and cutting raw ingredients, but then I just throw and mix everything together without regard to presentation.

Kimbap sounds fun. I may attempt to make it using quinoa instead of white rice though.
Planning on following a recipe I found on YouTube for kimbap. Replacing the eggs and beef/imitation crab sticks with tofu, white rice with quinoa. Sans oil and heating of vegetables. Don't have the bamboo mat to roll, but going to use parchment paper.
Kimbap turned out well. Tasted fresh and filling. However, it's a little challenging because the quinoa is not that sticky. The good thing was that I had the seaweed on the outer end.

Oh yeah, while it tasted good, it looked like a little kid made it.

Have some promo cards to use up from now until the end of August.

Pork tenderloin with Pepper Jack Cheese and bacon, queso, pinto beans and blueberry pie.
Pan-grilled sirloin steak, baked potato, green beans, red wine.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
Ordered Cajun-style boiled shrimp wrapped in a plastic bag with the seasoning and juices mixed inside.
Went tonight. @Okie, @ gukka and @barefootbliss, I think you would enjoy hot pot dining. OMG, beautiful, gorgeous, fresh veggies, tofu, bean sprouts, rice, broccoli, mushrooms, sauces, fresh garnished, all sorts of bok choy, greens, so much I can't list, choice of broth (I always get veggie) but there is bone broth and other exotica. I get exhilarated when I see the spread. $23 with extras for protein. DH and other males ordered chicken, beef, shrimp, gyozas, etc. This place is Japanese but the Chinese ones are just as good

Madetoshop that place sounds great! I love Asian hot pot! I love Asian cuisine overall. Where I used to live, we had independently owned hot pot restaurants all over the city (large Asian population)...and they were great, especially on very cold days.
Where I live now, we just have one of the chain locations for KPOT - have you tried KPOT?
That sounds like a good healthy and communal meal. I'll have to try it sometime. For kpot, is that similar to bibimbap (unsure of spelling)? Where it's delivered in a simmering hot stone bowl?
A KPOT opened up not so close to us recently. Have not been but on our agenda. The Japanese hot pot venue is local near my Mom's house. Beautiful, Clean, spacious, fresh ..we love it. DH prefers his steak and potatoes but he's likes it, we think, lol.
Okie, KPOT is a hot pot dining restaurant. I had bibimbap once. Delicious. The restaurant was so, so dark i.e. nightclub. Unbeknownst to me, I ate raw egg. I would have never eaten it had I known. I still won't eat raw egg yolk or runny eggs . Eggs Benedict, no!
Maybe stir fry or hibachi might be a good compromise?

I searched for hot pot near me, a lot of Korean places came up. Kpot is quite a drive from me where I live as well.
I do like to indulge in bibimbap. Like an Asian bowl with all of the sides.

Every once in a while, if I’m not at home, hard boiled eggs might be the healthiest option I’m left with to carry with me. Personally, I like the hard boiled eggs in soups, stews, broths, a little runny.

If I can though, I been staying away from chicken and eggs. For me, I think I’ve been able to reduce a lot of inflammation in my body by avoiding chickens in general.
Have an entire Hibachi table reserved for us tomorrow night! Uugh, beaus will be attending. Great minds think alike.
Those hibachi places where people sit around a communal table can be fun...depending on the chef....my relatives all like to go. They used to be very popular - Benihana was the chain I think.
Mixing up leftovers from the fridge (vegetables, bean sprouts, seaweed) with a red chili paste to make bibimbap.
Local Hibachi grill tonight. Chef was fabulous and egged on by rambunctious menfolk. My Mom and I had Tofu Teriyaki, Veggie Tempura, some of DD's Veggie Negiri (sushi) and tried her Banana Tempura dessert as well (yuk). Others ordered chicken, filet mignon, shrimp, spicy tofu, chicken veggie gyozas, shrimp tempura, you name it. Lots of laughs. I had some sort of vodka cocktail that DH ordered for me. Yes! The Benihana by us is run down and not so clean. We stopped going there years ago. It was great back then.
I've noticed that after so many years....chains just lose their thing, so I guess that's why almost all of them eventually go out of business. Except for Texas Roadhouse of course lol - they stay on top of their thing and their thing stays good.

We have a fish truck that makes stops in the area. I got some clams from them and made Manhattan clam chowder today, first time ever to make it homemade. Wasn't too shabby...lo.....reminding myself of Adam Shandler lol.
Pizza delivery. A mushroom pie for Mom and me and meatball parmesan hero for DH. He ate half of our pizza pie
