Oh... it seemed like the last supper... it was the last food for twelve hours. Must fast for a blood draw. So I had really good Mexican and can dream about having more of it when next I can eat again. Mmm!

Neighbour who I barely know gave me a bag of homegrown tomatoes. I made dough, husband fired up the Bar-B-Q, I sliced the tomatoes instead of using tomato sauce, and we had grilled pizza for dinner piled with a medley of vegetables and cheese.
Vicariously, I am having-- erm-- sea bass as prepared by Erica and Josh on season 9 of Top Chef Canada. I imagine that it is wonderful. The judges seem to like it... But must imagine that I have saved room for dessert. This involves a yogurt and fig cake & pistachio ice cream. I thought I was the only person who ever made a yogurt cake. Who knew!

Just DH and me home tonight. Delivery from our fav Italian restaurant; Chicken Marsala for me and Eggplant Rollatini for him. Organic grapes and some wine too.
Costco chicken, lol. I made a rice, black bean, corn, tomato, green pepper, red onion and cilantro side. Warmed a few tortillas. Delicious. Sliced apples for dessert.
Was not hungry but needed to clean out the fridge. I had the dregs of yogurt with the remaining smidgen of fruit spread (sugarless stuff, oh boy! oh joy!) and called it good enough to repeat if desperate.

I have assembled the makings of chicken, salsa and black bean soup (with corn) in the slow cooker. That will make at least 2 suppers this week and the rest will be frozen for future meals. I am also poaching some chicken to freeze to make future quick meals.
