It will be in the 90s and very humid here today. So, I will make a batch of 7 layer dip for supper: taco seasoned beef, retried beans, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, cheese. (That is only six; what am I missing?) I have some "scooper" taco chips and a gold cold beer to go with this.

What were the beans on trial for, if you don't mind my asking? grinning smiley Anyway, what about tomatoes? I have seen tomatoes as one of the layers.

Doing two groceries today, so whatever looks good. I am in the mood for London broil over mashed potato's and cauliflower roasted. Fresh strawberries over yogurt and cool whip/chocolate drizzle.

Farmer sausage and schmaundt fat. (Cream sauce made with the sausage drippings) gnocchi, and carrots.
This is not for today. I might try it soon. I was thinking about the 7th layer of the walesmaven dip, simultaneously browsing the newspaper, and becoming aware of a little recipe in an insert. Aha! This involves layers of pasta, chicken, coleslaw dressing, peas (frozen then thawed), shredded cheese, and something else. For color? Texture? The recipe was then tucked away in the bottom of the tote bag which will come with me to the grocery store. I can make it as is or modify it. Change to mushroom pasta (which I cannot spell or pronounce!) Make a yogurt dressing for a little less sweetness. Keep those peas because they have the best texture! etc. Or, make it as is because the hubby said that it sounded good and we should have it soon.

Did my marketing from work and bought a gorgeous T-bone steak and Califlower/potato mashed, (cuts calories).
Also have my strawberries, will fix a layered yogurt, strawberries and top with cool whip, healthy dessert.

I will make a cucumber-artichoke hearts-tomato salad and have that with (probably) smoked salmon. LOVE my mini stove-top smoker. Thank you Honney, for the recommendation.

Leftover salad. We made a modified version of a new-to-us recipe. So good! And, easy! Among other changes, we added more greens and little crunchy things. The salad became beautiful to behold and better and better to eat over time as the additional subtle flavors melded ... Yum!

Last night was a dish of yellow rice, roast chicken, green beans, Greek olives and a dollop of hummus. All cold, for a nice summer supper. Will repeat this tomorrow night, as a "planned over."

Tonight, pot roast and gravy, steamed carrots, mashed potatoes.

I just found a delicious looking recipe for buttery garlic rice and chicken done all in the oven. I will add caramelized glazed carrots to the menu and also some fresh cold cucumbers sliced and tossed with some herbs and lemon pepper.

I am Lactose Intolerant and found excellent popsicles/ice cream bars called "PROBUGS" Frozen Kefir made with Probiotic's. Gluten free/less sugar, supports digestion and immunity...and really taste refreshing. TMI... but you asked.

Pizza! Not a shop. Just the thing to have when tired, hot, sweaty, and know that your best cooking effort will happen the next day.
