My famous black bean, shredded chicken, avocado salad with fresh tortilla's., and a fresh strawberry yogurt smoothie for dessert. Bought fresh strawberries at Sprouts for .99, great sale, cherries for .97.....

Just got a new BBQ so tonight it is veggie kabobs with mushrooms, onions and red peppers. Throw a couple of cobs of corn and I am good to go.

It's Saturday night. Ribeyes on the grill with some sliced tomatoes. Decided to go all out and make it a multi-course meal. First course was an appetizer portion of ricotta and lemon ravioli from Trader Joe's with a sauce of walnuts, shallots, butter and a touch of walnut oil then topped with some fresh chives from the garden. Dessert will be apple blossoms, also from Trader Joe's. It is all being washed down by my new favorite, Elevation 1250 Paso Robles.

Paso Robles wine is good, they have an interesting winery...use to stop in when driving up the coast to Northern CA. Trader Joe's Filet Mignon (best meat), corn on the cob....

I'm going to have to disagree on Trader Joe's meat. Then again, I'm spoiled by local grocery stores with full service meat departments and some great family owned butcher shops nearby. A meat cutter at one of my stores even taught me how to trim ribs and to break down a whole beef tenderloin. Broke my heart when he retired and moved out of statesad smiley

We as well have Bob's butcher shop, but I just had a Filet bought at TJ's and it was every bit as good as Bob's.
The worst meat is a huge grocery, can't mention name because I work a lot for them, their meat is shoe leather.
Local butchers are great, but I'm sold on TJ's Filet, have you had one? They sell exclusively tp TJ's from a cattle farm in Monrovia CA., I could cut it with a fork, such a treat.

I'm wondering if we don't get those here. The cuts I've had from TJ's are certainly not bad, just nothing to compare to local stores sourcing from our local producers. I'm also spoiled because real meat cutters at the local stores can custom cut and trim anything they sell. I'm a whiz at doing it myself, but it sure is nice to have them do it when I want to save time.

it is a black tea that is made with chunks of dried pineapple in it. When you pour water over it and put it in the fridge, the next day the tea has a nice flavor of pineapple in it.

Can't decide between baked tilapia or meatless tostados. Both fast and easy and the tilapia doesn't take long to thaw. Leaning toward the tostados, no side dishes needed.
Going to Red Robin for a burger, they are giving free shakes today. I love Tostados, having one tomorrow on Tuesday Taco at Rio Cafe. Been too hot to cook (108%)

Just cannot resist when it is in season: wild caught Alaska salmon, a starch TBA, steamed fresh green beans.
