Today I am going to use some chicken thighs using my Mu Shu pork recipe. I see the chicken version on local restaurant menus so thought I would try this. I have a large frozen portion of the stir-fried veggies that go into either version.

Seeing as how it's Saturday, and I don't cook meals on Saturday, it's each person for himself around here! I'll probably just make me a sandwich a little bit later on. After cleaning house and fixing desserts for the coming week, I don't feel like cooking on Saturdays. Works for me!
I'm having Western bagel (best in the west) cream cheese, tomato and red onion topped with Nova Scotia lox, my fav anytime of the day.

Live consciously....
Making chicken soup with leftover's, noodles carrots, trying it with bone broth.

I've got a meatloaf in the oven, made from ground turkey. Then we'll have mashed carrots/turnips, and some rice. Light supper tonight.
Chicken, mashed potato's, brussel spouts baked, and a banana smoothie later.

Hey Irene, I'm always looking for new recipes for brussel sprouts...would you mind sharing yours? And how do you make your banana smoothie? TIA
I had shrimp foil packets. Shrimp sprinkled with Cajun spice, zucchini, corn, red pepper, chicken andouille sausage baked in foil packets. Easy clean up!

I'm not Irene but this is the way I cook Brussel sprouts
[www.wegmans.com]
It's a recipe for shaved Brussel sprouts with pancetta. I usually use the whole package of pancetta. I don't really like Brussel sprouts, but I love them this way.

BTW the Wegman's basting oil is basically oil flavored with garlic and parsley and thyme so you could just sprinkle those herbs and add garlic when you are sautéing the sprouts.

Brussel sprouts, place on cookie sheet, olive oil drizzle salt/pepper,bake till medium soft.
Cut into small pieces and freeze banana, place in Nutri or magic bullet, add Almond milk, unsweetened powered
dark chocolate (three tbsp). 2 pkgs Stevia, blend....add more milk if too thick..adjust to taste.....
Jas is really the great cook, I improvise.

My husband made great brussels sprouts. Try to buy the smaller ones because the outside leaves are the best. If you use larger ones cut in half. Saute with two pats of butter in a skillet on a low to medium flame. The sprouts will cook through and the butter will caramelize. When they seem soft enough to eat squeeze lemon juice over them while still cooking The juice will mix with the butter sauce. The outer leaves should look burnt but really are caramelized. Salt as preferred and eat.
You can also saute them with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Add a touch of sugar and you will have the recipe that so many restaurants make with them now.
Thanks, Irene, Kim & Sandy...WOW, three brussels sprouts recipes! And thanks for the banana smoothie recipe, Irene!
DId a shop today - oysters on the half shell, steamed lobster, potato, creme brulee...wow
