I know what you mean short, some of the training is time intense. But in all fairness to the people was are reporting on and evaluating, we should be properly trained. The company does not know that unless we are able to pass a test, involving the information we are supposed to know. It took me many tries to pass a donut shop test, I was almost ready to give up as well. I was ready to tell them to take their fartachinos and bakery products and put em where the dumpster enclosure doesn't reach. I didnt, and have made a lot of money on this chain of donut stores. So sometimes its worth it. A year ago I was pretty new to all of this, and screwed up some shops and didnt get paid. If you shop for the same company you get into the groove, give it a chance short. No the pay isn't great, but once you get comfortable you can always be selective. I bought my stopwatch for 6.99 and have used it at least 100 times. So that expence was absorbed.
Like anything short, once you get used to it and know what you are doing, it becomes second nature. I say give it a shot, you may just find you enjoy it, I know I do.
