ISS Point Leaders?

I see those names and wonder if they are real people lol.
Have you ever been listed as a "Point Leader" for ISS?
What did you have to do? shop non stop while doing triple somersaults?
If so, was there some kind of advantage?

I was a point leader two weeks in a row. Highlight of my life!! Ha ha. I think it was in the thick of COVID and there was some sort of social distancing restaurant signage project where I knocked out a ton of locations over a couple of weeks.
I was on the list once when did a huge amount of phone shops. Woohoo. I was famous for a few days
According to the scheduler they realized they weren't getting different opinions and stopped letting the same person doing every shop, month to month. So they aren't on the list anymore.

No. I opted out in case there was ever some occasion for me to do a lot of shops through there, I would NOT want my information published.
I'm not sure how successful it is and if it works on a significant number of people. However, the badges that are given and the leaders list are attempts to motivate people to do shops without actually paying them more money. They are psychological ploys to attempt to persuade people to feel like they are special when they do additional work. This is an attempt to use psychological manipulation to increase the number of shops that get completed without having to offer additional bonuses. If I did a lot of shops that were bonused and my name showed up on the list, it would feel like a trophy to me. However, if I went out of my way to do a bunch of low paying base shops that require travel and did not end up paying me much in the end, it would be a monument to my stupidity.

It probabably works for all the people who come on here complaining they got a 9 instead of a 10 for their report.
I’ve been on the list a few times ( did a ton of phone shops), and I was ranked #1 once…. I’m not sure what it does, but I did get a badge for being a point leader that week I was ranked #1.
I don't like being manipulated. It's also a bit discouraging when you can never acheive being on the list due to the lack of shops in your area. So I stopped even looking. Secret Shopper has a similar thing with their status. I have to start over as Basic every year - even though I have been on Secret Shopper for 12 years.
I hate to say it but I feel a little sorry for the point leaders. They spent that much time doing the low pay shops? I get it there are a lot of worthwhile lifestyle shops on the board - I'm not knocking the shops or the people who do them - but unless you are doing a lot of phone shops, to rack up that many points can't be a good thing.

I was a couple of times. I got nothing except my name on the list. I did 25 convenience store shops for a company, which was essentially peanuts. I saw nothing special about it except the recognition.
I made the board a couple of times when my car was particularly dirty :-D

Have synthesizers, will travel...
The 2nd thing I did after filling out my profile was opt out of the leadership board
I have been on the list several times over the past few years. I absolutely hate seeing my name there. But I live where there are not many shoppers (or potential jobs), so sometimes even when I do just one, I end up on the list. Honestly, a couple of times I've been the only one! Am I a bottom-feeder? No, but if I am driving to a town with potential assignments, I sometimes check the board the morning I'm heading out, and if something is on the way and it's not too onerous and with a company that I know pays when it says it's going to, I'll pick it up.
Thank you NikkiNikky for your wording in turning off the leaderboard option. It prompted me to search the website again, and I finally found the option to make me anonymous!

Must be a chain that doesn't exist here. My car would not mind a wash every week but all I get are discounts on shipping and and the occasional restaurant visit. I'd have to take out all the trash to have a shot at the achievement board but that isn't a goal for me (much less an incentive).

Based out west, with a classic bath toy mascot.

Spreading like rabbits, so plenty of inventory is usually available.

I have maintained a nice with the project manager and book as many shops as I can in advance of them posting on the current site (where I abhor the reporting process.)

Given my penchant for remote gas lat routes, my car gets pretty dirty, especially now that spring has finally sprung around here.

With summer on the verge, and the resulting drop or complete disappearance of teaching income, I'll be hitting the streets Uber- and Lyft-ing, making it even more important to keep my car clean.

So I put up with the PITA that is iSS.

woo hoo Made the list last week!
No money just my silly first name and last initial on a list
Prefer money to being have my name posted!
There was a gal on the list in my state every week on the top. I would just shake my head and say to myself, "How can she eat so many sub sandwiches?" That store brand is prolific in her area.
