Kroger update

Okie, if what appeared within 50 miles of my house was the standard of the country, you out not miss out. There were 3 shops, each of which is located in an area other companies have abandoned. In the past, I completed all twice and decided I would need at least a double fee to return. Their prices were high, no milk, terrible meat, limited produce and sparsely stocked shelves.

I didn't see any competitor shops. But, I feel like I almost always miss them so I'm not the best judge.

Okay, Bob, those questions sound like they were awful! From that point of view, these new shops do sound much better.

I'm still wondering if it was necessary to report their answers to the questions!
I don't think I ever received an email yet. But on the dashboard, I noticed that a shopper announcement got posted. Here it is:

KROGER FUEL

The Fuel program is being redeveloped this year to prepare it for a more central role in the program in the future. To accommodate that, Fuel shops will be paused in most markets for the remainder of the year. Select markets in Michigan and the western US will have Fuel shops posted June-Nov 2025, and all areas are expected to return at full strength starting in February 2026.

KROGER PICKUP

The Pickup program is being redeveloped this year to prepare it for a more central role in the program in the future. To accommodate that, Pickup shops will be paused in most markets for the remainder of the year. Select markets in OH, KY, and TX will have Pickup shops posted June-Nov 2025, and all areas are expected to return at full strength starting in February 2026

I started doing these shops with the previous MSC during COVID lockdown. If I recall correctly, I think there were pre-defined answer choices you had to select based on the response, such as if the associate (completely) answered the question. But I don't think there was a narrative field, to record the response. It's all a blur now, but I think I remember asking a produce associate questions such as preparing a salad, a pineapple, and seasoning.
Olympia, the competitor shops I referenced in my reply to Okie were listed early. If that were the same for your location and realizing some shoppers are in need, they certainly could have been taken before you logged into the site. I am guessing I entered at 12:30 and they were posted.

As to the prior goofy questions, I do not recall if it were necessary to record the worker's responses.

A final comment: A poster mentioned, with the prior MSC, having 2 days to visit a store; that may be correct. I do, though, recall the hrs. to shop as Mon.-Fri., from 16:00 to 20:00 and Sat.-Sun. from 12:00 to 18:00; 11:00 to 19:00 is far more preferable for me.

The overwhelming difference between now and then is that you ask questions to I think to 3 different people including employees in the Meat and Produce section. The questions indicated you (the shopper) probably was not the sharpest tool in the shed. The questions would be similar to..... How do you peel an orange? Is it OK to put seasoning on this steak? Oh boy.... Asking those type of questions with a straight face was often difficult if not humiliating. Not going back!
Where the store had a Fred Meyers Jewelry department/store, there was a 4th question.
