TikTok mystery shoppers as influencers

I know some of the MSCs editors are on here as well. But i just saw a tiktok video from a women who is an influencer who is videoing herself on "mystery shops" one was a reel on a beanie baby job. She is showing the location which was a loves station, that didnt have the spinner then goes to a 7-11 station which did have a spinner. She is also making courses for others to save money. I cant think of the tiktokker who is doing this by name.

How is this even legal. I try very hard with my personal shops but cant think of posting it all on tiktok.

Ah-ha! A new thread on our favorite topic! I started following her on fb and went from mad to bored. Her content is dull and her laugh is obnoxious. I feel like her following may flatten sooner than later. Potential customers ask her legitimate questions and she insults them time and again and never answers them. This is not a sustainable business model.
She gets a following making mystery shopping look easy. She then convinces people that they should join her course because she will guide them through the process and hook them up with all the mystery shopping companies.

The people that join the course are either going to waste their money when the realize that there is so much more than what she shows and they won't put in the effort. Or they are going to join her course and qyickly find out everything she is teaching them is free if you put a little work into the search.

She is making money so good for her, but i do feel bad for the people who believe that they need her information to succeed. Almost everything is free somewhere on the internet if you put the effort in and if you don't have the effort to google mystery shop companies and instead use that effort to put in a credit card number, you probably won't take the effort to make routes, and write good reports so you can be profitable.
I guess I should have said, I have not been on this forum site for several years but jumped on here as soon as I saw her. I never saw the other posts about her either. Literally came upon it and got upset.
Thanks for the reminder to follow up with the folks who handle the TY stuff. They're been contemplating some kind of action against her.

And for the record it's not the bad advice that gets my hackles up, it's the fact that she's ripping people off.

I really hope they do. I feel like at this level, the MSCs really need to go after her. And she makes me angry too so I am there with you on that one. I hate that she is asking people for money. It took me awhile to find this source of income and I did it by doing research and stumbled upon this forum. This forum is what got me started and I am forever grateful for it!!

I have directed a few people here from her "following" by sending private messages. I contact those that really seem interested and let them know, please.. just come here and take a look at all of the FREE info!!!
I try to avoid giving this person clicks or views but couldn't resist finding the beanie baby one. She doesn't show a large chunk of the true requirements (getting manager info, inventory count, etc.) and her displays don't look that good when she's finished. I know they can go quickly when you've been the regular merchandiser at a store but she's definitely putting out some very misleading videos.

Fwiw the company who handles the TY account is looking into stronger action concerning her.
This woman lives in my small town. She’s a scammer. It’s been one grift after another with her and her family. To my knowledge she doesn’t do her so called “mystery shops” at places in town anymore because most of the managers ran her off. She’s a mean person and people generally don’t like to deal with her. I really hope people aren’t falling for her course thing.
