TXRH Dine In Requirement Changes

@ShopperGirly wrote:

The guidelines still show the side salad as required. Any issues yet? I want to order a salad entree and have my spouse order his usual dinner, but he doesn't like the side salads. Thoughts?
Have your husband order a salad as one of his sides to cover the requirement. If he normally likes to get chili, then have him order that as an added side to count as your appetizer. Then if he doesn't want to eat the side salad, you can always eat that as well as your entree salad.

"I would like a salad to go with my salad, please."
Order the side salad along with the chicken critter dinner and make your own little chicken critter salad. [

I asked for confirmation about any currently-assigned shops. They said the old guidelines still apply. It's only for anything new and beyond. (Old guidelines for food were a meal *or* an appetizer and then the non-water drink.)

So the only changes are the shopper needs to order *both* an appetizer and entree, and one of the entree sides needs to be a salad. It's still an appetizer or entree for the guest, and then only one drink other than water for the entire party.

Also, chili is listed as an appetizer (or 'starter') on the website, so you could get a bowl of that to satisfy that requirement and keep costs down.

I suspect these changes are being made so they can see how well the TXRH team is doing serving both appetizers and side salads. Maybe it'll be permanent, or hopefully it's just for a few months and they make some changes later on.

FYI it also applies to the bar shops.

Forgive me for being lazy....

So you're saying if I sit at the bar and eat, I have to get an appetizer as well as an entree. Does one of those entree salads (chicken tender salads) count as an entree?

Also is there a time requirement for having to be in the restaurant?

TIA.
Appetizer and entree with a side salad and a drink. I am unsure about the entree salad since it doesn't come with sides and it would be super weird to order an entree salad with a side of salad.

Order the chicken critter dinner with a side salad and broccoli. That is my "go to." You can cut up two chicken critters for your side salad and take the rest home. The broccoli is always freshly steamed and delicious.

You need to stay 40 minutes.

I think that is a good idea. The entree salad is not a good value. You can get almost as much salad by just ordering a side salad, or you could even just order two salads as sides, which I have done.

One change I would recommend is to cut up the country fried chicken rather than the chicken critters. The chicken critters used to be great when they were freshly battered with the crispy batter, but now they are a frozen product and not that good. The country fried chicken is still made fresh.

I noticed last night they have added 2 new appetizers: hardbolied eggs with bacon and mozzarrella strips.
That is a great tip! Thank you!

40 minutes sort of kills me on this trip... Thanks for the info. I just dodged a bullet.
