TXRH Dine In Requirement Changes
I know we are supposed to get a salad as one of the sides now.. But if I remember right, when I did a TRH shop several years ago the only thing listed on the ticket (That was before they change the requirements was
the appetizer (If you got one), the main meal, the desert (If you got one), and the drink. I do not remember salad (Or any side items that came with the meal). being listed on the ticket unless you got a extra salad with your meal
What happens if you get the ticket and it does not listed salad with a meal or something like that? Will the shop still be approved?

My ticket showed appetizer, entree and beverage, no sides listed.
It was approved.
Not sure how things will work in the future, maybe they are changing the receipt system to become more detailed, who knows.

Maybe they will add an "upload" button for the picture of the salad. I took one just to be safe. If I am challenged, I have one.
I always try to get the "early dine" prices. Some of my area TRH have moved their opening hours to 3 PM on M-F.

I know the TRH in my area you can get the early dine prices Monday-Thur. The TRH in my area opens up at 11 AM on Friday, Sat, Sun

My salads and other sides never show up on my Ziosk receipt unless a fee topping is added (loaded on mashed for example)
I suppose if really needed they could pull the full order details with the receipt info.
Salad is always my preference so this new guideline doesn't really impact me. I love the ranch dressing.
So far both of my shops since the new guidelines were set in place have been as seamless as they were before. No bumps no headaches.
This is one of my favorite shops. I'm OOP about $15-20 including tip but my family loves this restaurant and I consider it a great way to have a night out "cheaply."

Yes, Monday-Thursday before 5PM or 5:30PM (at some locations) gets you the better deals.
But I can only do that at the "close one" to me. For the ones a little further, I save for the weekend. Getting the filet medallions and a cheap stake along with an appetizer can easily feed 3 people. Come out of pocket maybe $10.

Has anyone been able to perform shops with Happy Hour pricing?
I sent a message asking to scheduler. There has been no response, but two reminders to do the shop.

I always do early dine (even for the bar shops).

I have found the bartenders tend to give me the early bird prices on items not normally listed, i.e the steak kabobs.
Do you report this or keep quiet and enjoy the savings? They do not ask a question about it, but just wondering if you bother mentioning it in your report.

Ginsburg! Yes, the clues helped a lot of those folks that asked. It is silly this has to be that way to uphold the IC agreement. But, it is what it is.

Check the guidelines. Your shop may have been assigned before they made the changes, but in the future you're supposed to get an appetizer plus have a salad as one of your sides. The cheapest way to get around this would be to order an extra cup/bowl of chili specifically as an appetizer ($4 or $5 respectively). That plus the side salad and bread is pretty filling, but you're allowed to take home leftovers if you can't finish your entree.@nellybean212 wrote:

Change does not make much difference to me as I usually order a side salad anyway.
The receipts, at least here, do NOT print out the sides that are with the entree...... how do they plan on checking customers if the receipt does not list the sides? Not that I plan on being a scofflaw. Other than watch the video (boring for them) they dont know the sides siince they are not on the receipt -- they SHOULD be..

There is also an appetizer requirement now.
Shrimp appetizer is not that great. There was even an article written about the worst appetizer offered by TXRH and it was the shrimp one. I get it cuz my kid wants it and that is half their meal, so it helps that way. Better than me eating the potato skins which are excellent tasting, but terrible for health purposes.
So I got an email saying the side salad is no longer a requirement, at least for the shop at the bar. An appetizer is still required. I've done a few shops after the changes and have been ordering an extra side of chili to fulfill this. It's a bit cheaper and isn't deep-fried craziness like the other options.
