Panda express shop photo

I see the new 45 degree photo requirement for Panda.
Has anyone had a shop declined due to a photo not being acceptable?
I do not love their food but would do the shop for the fee but if chance of shop being declined may decline it
Does anyone know how to decline?

I did two shops one right after the other with the old picture style. The first shop was rejected, the second one received a 8/10. Different reviewers, different rules I suppose. sad smiley

It’s not hard to do the photo at 45 degrees. You just have to remember to do it that way.
Yes, just make your photograph look just as the example in the guidelines. I have even adjusted the photographs I took to make them that way. I usually snap several just in case. Never a rejection. You can do it. Kind of show the top of the meal as well as the build of the pile of food in the same shot with that angle. That way they see how much was in the container and how high it was.
I was marked down to 7 on the first one I did after the change because I completely forgot and took it from overhead. I won't make that mistake again, it's easy enough to take it correctly.
Can you put more than one picture of the food in the report or is there room for only 1 picture of the food?

I didn’t pick up on the change immediately and took the overhead photo. They marked me down one point and told me why. But I was paid. Following that, I’ve always worked to take the photo from a similar angle as in their example and haven’t been received any comments. I do still occasionally receive a 9/10, but they don’t provide a reason.
I wish they would be on the same page as to the deduction on that photograph. Some have said they lost one point and another lost three. Both for the same reason. Not fair. One time an editor explained to me that they were to take a point off for a picture that was not right, along with a second point because they had to email that information to you and go back and see if you corrected it. That was for a different shop that I had asked about. Not a good scale to go by, since SASSIE shops have a top score of ten. How can one photograph or one typo be worth 10-30 percent of the whole report?
When did this start? Are they being shopped by more than one MS? I don't see on mine. I randomly get 9 or 10 on my reports. And the instructions was not updated since June of last year.
I think it started in October. That's the first time an editor mentioned it in one of my reviews.
They gave me an 8 and the reason was the photo was not at 45 degrees, they accepted it, fair enough, lesson learned.
@hksh1 when you click to open the guidelines and get a pop up asking if you want to download the (previously downloaded) file again, you do. Otherwise, you will keep viewing the old copy you have saved because they don't change the file name when they amend the guidelines.
The October 2024 shops had guidelines that had "Updated 10/01/2024" at the top left corner of page one. November & December 2024 and January 2025 guidelines had the same notation at the top left corner of page one, but, the shop entry forms for those months had a note highlighted in yellow that read: "PLEASE READ: Updated GUIDELINES 11/1/24"

This is the first I've heard about a 45 degree angle. I have been shooting at a straight down angle. I haven't heard any complaints yet.

Maybe your pics are not perfectly straight down and just enough to fool them into thinking it's at the proper angle. Just make sure to do the 45-ish degree angle in the future, though.
No, they are perfectly straight down. I always snap several photos and upload them to my pc and choose the very best one.

I did a bunch in Las Vegas in January at the correct angle. You should re-read the guidelines.
I completed two since the guidelines changed and scored 10/10 with the 90 degree photo. I just completed another one and did take the correct 45 degree angle photo. I appreciate this forum to alert us. I am unsure that I would have noticed the updated guidelines. These companies who list these rinse and repeat shops really need to flag these guideline changes better.
Same here! 10/10 scores!
