Five Guy ban

I got banned for doing shops from Five Guys, I think because I did too many (over 100). Anyone have any experience with this or know if I will ever be able to do them again?

I've done over 100 over the past two years, so I don't think that's the issue. Perhaps you were identified as a shopper during a visit. Did the MSC give you any idea as to why you were banned? Can you see other shops on their site?
@HowardJuice23

check zip code 92230

that is a hard to fill location. if you don't see that, then you were blocked. if you do see it, maybe you were just blocked for the ones close to you.

Yeah, I sent them an e-mail and they did said I was banned but they didn't give me a specific reason. They said it could have been from doing too many shops or from being identified. One of the last shops I did involved some innappropriate behavior by an employee so it also could have been they viewed the footage and I was identified. But I don't know the specific reason.

They didn't even say if the ban was temporary or permanent. I think it's unfortunate. The MSC called me many times to do them in a pinch and if I was able I did. I never once got any negative feedback on a report. It doesn't seem fair to me.

Maybe Kayla can help you with her special contacts :-P

Best you can do is hope that maybe they might reconsider in the future. I wonder if @mfisherri can PM you separately with EXACT reason.
100+ over 2 years? so on average, 1 FG burger once/week.
Just wow, that's all. Did you get tired of them? I guess not.

It's been noted here before that the MSC or Five Guys doesn't like negative shops. The fact that you pointed out something negative might have been the reason you were banned.

But doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of us mystery shopping a location?

My advice would again be to call them. They are very reasonable on the phone. Also fwiw I've never had a problem from giving bad feedback.
If you don't give negative feedback your shop gets approved almost immediately. I'm guessing, and only guessing, via AI. If there is anything other than perfect, a human has to review it which takes longer.

I prefer to provide honest feedback which is what I'm paid to do even if I have to wait a couple of days for my shop to be approved. And I don't sweat it, if it does. I just do my job, which is to provide the MSC and client a picture of what actually happened during the shop.
Hi - If you PM me your shopper ID I can review to determine if I can provide any other details.

We usually do not ban shoppers for reporting the negative. The majority of clients consider mystery shoppers their eyes and ears and want an accurate representation of what's happening on the scene.

Sherri, every single one of us has had run ins with editors that want us to change our reports when we report something negative, and quite a few of us have been deactivated by MSCs for reporting the negative facts. This MSC isn't one of them. Thanks Purple for the heads up.

@weatherman2111 Same thought I had, but it is funny how one can represent an MSC and post to a named client, and that is okay, but the actual rule is in place for us. A double standard. IDK

For all we know "MF" in her username stands for "My Friend", right?

And I thought this entire time it was short for Mary Frances "Sherri."

Is her/him really Sherri? Inquiring minds want to know.

Regardless, she/he/it has been so helpful here.
To Morledzep's point, now I remember why I lost my appetite for MF ... I. YMMV. Just kidding, playful banter.

Sherri sounds cool, but how do we really know?
