Most shops in a year?

you forgot they SMELL GOOD too....with the exception of single use bathroom and someone who just blew it up. The use some scent/air freshener that makes it smell lovely, but sometimes even those chemicals cannot overcome some people's #2 (especially in a single use stall.

Isn't there an in-n-out in compton?

I have never eaten a burger at In N Out. I have had their fries pretty often.

Pro Tip: Their bathrooms are always clean, always free, always unlocked and usually open until 1 am if you are on the road.

I once did over 50 shops in a day. It was quite a long day, but I made a ton of money. I don't want to repeat that unless I need to. When I was going for top dollar, I could easily do 25 shops in a day. Now, I do somewhere between 10 and 20 a day. I only take a few days off per month. So if I work just 300 days a year at 10 shops a day, I would be at 3,000 shops for the year. I'm sure I do way more than that but I don't count them.

You people are clearly NOT visiting my local In-N-Outs!

They are pretty good at keeping the meth addicts out of the one in Hollywood, but sometimes even fail at that. As someone who shopped a number of LA outlets in the past, I have seen (and smelled) some horrific things.

First, I am not trying to replicate this or fishing for secrets, I am just truly fascinated that there are so many shops available to you on a consistent basis. Would you be willing to give a vague summary of what a typical month looks like for you?
A. Unless "fees only" were specified with the quoted $137k then it includes reimbursements. Just like a scheduler might advertise a "$50 shop!" and after you read further or apply, you find out that $50 is a partial reimbursement for a $200 required purchase.

B. Ipsos lies. You can call it exaggeration or embellishment but in the long run it's plain old BS.

My 2 cents.
@Bob Stone...yes, you could reach 3000 shops...but could you reach it with the SAME company? I doubt you did all 50 with the same MSC in that one day (unless you did $2 phone call shops all over the country :-P )
@hbbigdaddy I've never tried to do it with the same company. I do it for the money and have no loyalty to any one company. I guess the IPSOS shopper could have bragging rights but at the end of the day, that probably doesn't pay many bills.
@bradkcrew I live in one of the biggest cities in America. Lots of work here. I am registered with every company out there that I know exists for our line of work. I do this full time so I constantly look for jobs to do. I plan out routes so I can streamline everything. I have a daily planner to help me keep track of it all. It's fairly simple for me these days. I still work less than a person with a 9 to 5 does and I been able to survive off of it all. Last year, became harder and harder to do that. 2025 is off to a rough start. I'm looking for other opportunities right now to supplement this work with.
Bob Stone - hats off to you....I can't begin to imagine the amount of detail you are hustling - between looking, applying, scheduling, doing, reporting, tracking payment, taxes....bless your heart but I guess it can become routine after years of doing it...you could probably teach a class to Kayla smiling smiley

The time you did 50 shops in one day. Can I guess these were shops by phone or computer?

I will second the hats off to you. I also live in a a large city with tons of opportunity, but when I tried to work MS full time it ended up being 7 days a week, and long days.

I could sometimes line up 10-15 shops in a particular mall for a day, but then I would spend my whole evening reporting and scanning/organizing receipts.
I've done some bank shops on the Shopmetrics side that paid $200+ (bonused). If someone focused primarily on that, they would have to do approx 685 shops a year = 57 a month or approx 2 a day. That would be doable, but likely a lot of distance travel and seems it might sound red flags with the bank. Or fewer bank shops coupled with on the road fast food, IP tech and gas shops on the Sassie side (many now Presto). The E-Commerce shops are nice when available in your area, but more reimbursement than pay.
BarefootBliss they were in store shops. A company had me take pictures of a certain display in a popular drugstore. Some of the locations had 2 other projects in the same store so I was getting paid up to 3 times for the same store. I was literally in the same store for less than 15 minutes total and the report was done through an app. No narratives to type. I mixed that with other projects in the area. Yes, it was a long day but I made a decent pay day that day.

I have had plenty of days where I can do well over 20 shops in the same day. I just know the shops and know which ones do not require long reports and narratives.
SteveSoCal I try to avoid retail shops. To me they want too much for the pay offered.

Have you been able to do 25 of those bank shops at $200 or more for each one in a given year?

I think most of us have seen bonused shops at that level, but with rare regularity. More often someone else will pick that shop up before it can hit $30 or $40. The other issue is even if you could get that high rate, they are not going to spread them out nice and pretty so you can do two a day when most banks are closed on Sundays and I've never seen any of them offered on Saturday, but YMMV. They will have a small window when they need it done.

If we presume that the person that did the most shops is also the top earner for the year, how do you go from averaging under $14 per shop in 2023 which seems very reasonable to almost $47 per stop last year?
Many bank shops don't allow more than one visit within a certain number of days. Stagecoach is that way and is the one I think of when reading that it could be bonused up to $200 pay. I've seen them at nearly that amount.
No, but I have not tried because I bank with 2 of them so I want to keep things under the radar.

I live in a large Metropolitan area where there is a zillon of the banks. Bonused up every month so they can get them done. I did one last Sat for the blue bank. They are open until 2 pm on Sat in my area and the stagecoach until noon. Not referring to the ones that start at $15 and bonus up to $30-40.

True, banks are closed on Sun so that would add to the daily #.

Its not something I would want to do because it would involve more driving than I want to do. Without a high % of $200+ shops not sure how someone gets to 6 figures. Maybe that's what I should of been clearer on -- the # of bonused shops that could get someone there vs the type.
