Mystery Shop Stopwatch

I have been using Mystery ShopWatch Lite for several years. Got a new Google Pixel smartphone and tried to find it on Google Play. It does not come up. Found Stopwatch. It has a display clock and is a bit clunky for mystery shopping, but useable.

What timers/stopwatches are you all using for timings?

I have an app called "shop-it" But it also, is no longer available through the play store. We've tried to find a replacement for it several times, but there doesn't seem to be anything that can do what that app did, even the ones that cost big $$ don't do everything it does. Their website used to be www.Just-shop-it.com. But all I get is an error message saying the site doesn't exist, and it's no longer in the google play store. So far, I've been able to transfer the app to the next phone when I've replaced it, but I don't know how many more times that's going to be possible.
I have found the same. I sent an email to them asking what is happening and any potential replacements. I suspect that the app will gradually become more unstable. If the “Borg” finds a replacement I am all ears.
iPhone has a stopwatch within the clock APP. I use the lap portion heavily to mark/record each step necessary on a shop/audit. I take a screenshot to save all laps shown if I need to reset the stopwatch for the next shop/audit.
I have Ultrachron Lite on my samsung note 9. I don't even use this phone any longer except for the stopwatch feature. I like this app very much, but not sure if it is available any longer. As long as my note 9 will work, i carry it for the shops that require excessive timings.

If i'm doing something simple like a Panda Express, i can use the stopwatch within my Iphone 15. That is good enough.

That one doesn't do seconds on the timer, but still seems to do most of the other original functions.
That seems like a pretty cool timer HB, way better than the clock that comes native on this awful Google Pixel 7 Pro. Still need something that can mark time and have a way to take notes too.
If I need to get a timing to the seconds, I use the screen shot feature on my phone along with the photo time stamp app.
Purpleice: I've used this Clock app on my iPhone for years both to record start and end times and stopwatch times. I like being able to take a quick screen shot of the clock time and stopwatch time(s). I've actually placed it so it's the first app on my display screen, so I never have to search for it.

This has been on the forum many times. No one has found anything that does what Mystery Shopping Stopwatch did.
My Clock app on my Samsung S22 has Alarm, World Clock, Stopwatch, Timer on it. IT came installed on my phone. I would be surprised if other phones don't already have something similar, thus eliminating the need to download an additional app. What am I missing???
@JimmyP live from North Korea, please tell what other features are so great about what the Mystery Shopping Stopwatch did - we want to know.
I think most people are aware that iPhones and Android phones have built-in stopwatches on the clock app, as that has been in the case for a long time.

The Mystery Stopwatch recorded the actual time as well as minutes and seconds, which no one has found on any other app. So, if you do a shop that wants to know the timings in a format such as 6:16:54 PM, etc., you don't have to spend any time calculating the times from the stopwatch.

Of course, the calculations can be made. But in the threads where people are asking for this feature, they want to know if there is an app that does what the other app did, not find out how to use a stopwatch or get a general stopwatch app.

If someone found an app with the feature, I would download it. It seems like it would be a simple feature to add, but other stopwatches just don't have that feature.

My ShopIt app still times pictures and my notes to the second. I shudder to think how I will document to the same level when the app disintegrates.
i just use a voice recorder. it helps with the timing and exactly what the employee says so i dont have to remember

shopping north west PA and south west ny
My Samsung 10e and Google Pixel 8 do have clock apps. . I'll use the Shopwatch app on the 10e for most timings. Both do not give the timings in real time If I accidentally hit the Stop on the Shopwatch, it resumes at the clock time. The other times just start timing from the spot it was stopped.

Luv, yes, the Google Pixel 7 Pro has a stopwatch built into the clock. And it does lap times. but the numbers flash, and when you do a screen shot to save the timing, not the actual time of day, the total time doesn't show in the screen shot. It won't work for what we do, at the very least, it doesn't work for me. And then that still only leaves sending PM's to myself on messenger for notes.
Yes most stopwatch apps have lap times, and that is what I use on many shops. But some shops just don't lend themselves to stopwatch apps. For starters, if someone sees your screen it it obivous you are timing. The now defunt Shop-It app for Android was disguised as a texting app. It allowed me to tap anywhere on the screen or use the volume button to record times, where I didn't even have to look at the screen. I could label each time as well. With the lap timer on a stopwatch app, I have to look at the screen and press a tiny button to record the time, and hope I don't accidently tap the wrong button. And then remember what each time is for. Just not as practical. For some shops, I have practiced counting one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three -- because I need to be looking at the employee to see how long it takes them to greet me or whatever.

Those who have adapted to taking screenshots, that is a great idea. But I have an Android and haven't figued out a quick and non-obious way to do it. I know there are taps and swipes that can be used, but those seem a little cumbersome to use in the middle of an interaction.
I downloaded the Shop It app for iPhone a year or so ago, but I've never really used it. I've been using a combination of my phone's voice recorder, stopwatch, and iMessage for so long that that's what I'm used to, and having all those plus a camera rolled into one app seemed almost like overkill to me. The one time I tried to use it during a shop was a disaster, and figuring it all out for the report was like putting lipstick on a pig. It was a hot mess. After that, I just stuck with what I knew.

I recommend the PGZSY from Wal-Mart; it was $10 + tax. I slip it in my pocket and off I go to shop.
A what? A tiny pig in your pocket? Let the pigsy do the counting? Okay, I googled it. An actutal stopwatch with buttons. Not a bad suggestion. I might try that.
