"Roaring Moments" shop for Caesar's Sportsbook

Anyone done this one? Looks like there's one where you just register with Caesar's using an app, another where you register and place at least one bet. The latter pays $20 with up to $40 reimbursement. Worth it?

Yes. I did this last month. It was a very easy and fun mystery shop. The only drawback for me is that in using my credit card to put in a deposit I was charged for a cash advance. The company was great. I am not a gambler, but it was a fun easy way to play and make some cash.
I did one back in September, I was visiting family. I would not bet more than the reimbursement, in the fine print you need to win something like 25 X your initial bet before you can withdraw your money. Also, because I played for more than the 15 minute minimum, (I didn't want to leave any money in the account, and it took a few hours over the weekend to get down to $0) I needed to record my app usage, instead of just take screenshots to show how much I played and won/lost. Not a big deal, but just an FYI. If you want to gamble for free, and want to kill time, it's decent. I spent $70, got $10 shop fee and was reimbursed the $70 back.
I’m not eligible since I have a players card at Caesar’s in Las Vegas. I can’t imagine that they are getting a lot of people to do these.

I'm confused.

1) It says $40 reimbursement. They actually reimburse you for $70?
2) You have to win 25 times your bet? So if I bet $40, I'd need to win $1,000 to be able to take my money? That sounds ... unlikely.
I did one! Super easy! I bet then entire $40 and did not win anything. I was reimbursed the $40 plus $20 shop fee.

1) that's what I have direct from the website maybe things changed? I cut and pasted right from "my shops".
PAID ON: 10/20/24
Fee: $10.00
Expenses: $72.00
TOTAL: $82.00
This is what was in the comments when I did the shop:
Shop Pay: $10
Reimbursement: up to $125 (plus keep your winnings)
2) I did not realize this until I tried to cash out. Again, this is not uncommon with all the "match bet" betting apps either.
You asked for my experience, I gave it.

In sports betting, I think the term is rollover or play-through. These articles explain it some:

I still can't get over why Texas doesn't allow sports betting! 2 NFL teams, 3 NBA Teams, 2 MLB teams, 1 NHL team, 3 MLS teams. Good grief!

Also, if it's the MSC I'm guessing it is, it has a history of lowering reimbursements over time.

I wasn't doubting you, what I meant by "that sounds unlikely" is the chances of winning $1000 on a $40 bet. I'd have to bet some crazy longshot.

Thanks for your response.

OK, thanks. Pretty sleazy requirement but that's gambling for you.
If a sign-up bonus is involved, I think it's so people don't cash it out, without the intent of playing. I guess in the house's mind, the player would need to actually win it going against the odds.
I did and and got paid on time the following month for the $20 and $40 deposit reimbursement.

Thank you for clarifying, I thought you were doubting my experience, and I was truly being honest. Happy holidays!

C'mon, man, you know our state will never legalize gambling or pot (not that I have an interest in either one.) Look at how long it took us to get a state lottery.

You lost me at lottery (90's baby here). Aw well, I wish I was wired differently. Maybe it's a good thing. I do love Texas!

There's a town out in the desert with very bright lights just waiting for you...
