Presto App options?

I recently had to do a route using this lousy app, and it cost me $370 because I somehow deleted a job in the incomplete jobs (5 total jobs in three states). I was onsite and somehow pushed a button on the phone, and it took me back to the list, to which I went to a different shop site and filled out the shop. I was in a different location 500 miles away. The job location I was doing had disappeared when I was trying to correct the turned-in shop that had been returned to fix the shop is when I found that I had done something wrong when I was at the new location and found the shop had already been filled

This app became a nightmare in one fault Swope and not clicking or clicking the wrong button.
This was a 5-shop trip of 1900 miles that quickly became a 4-shop costly one.

Now I am looking for any secrets to make this app work for me and not against me

Presto is pretty self-explanatory. And pretty simple to use inbetween the signal issues..
I did not find this to be true. I found out I could move to different parts of the report like the forecourt area or to inside of the store but that was all I found I could do. The shop I was doing was a gas station shops.

I also found out that I had to do a PIN code for an update in payment I could not do it on the computer I had to go to the app

I have no idea what you're talking about. I do all, or at least most of the gas station shops on Presto in my area. I generally check in as soon as I pull up to the pump, and put in the time that I started. I do the "mystery" part of the shop, then I introduce myself, give them the LOA and whatever other forms there are. And then take all of the pictures, at least 2 of each, and some extra for just in case. This part takes all of about 20 minutes on all but the largest gas stations if there aren't a lot of customers. Then I go to my car and go down the list, and upload all of the pics in their appropriate places, and hit done. I've never needed a Pin# or anything to see my finished shops or to submit the shop I'm doing.

You're going to have to paint a picture that makes sense. I've never needed pin code or number to access any part of Presto or get paid through PayPal, which I think is the only way to get paid by Presto.
I always have trouble with the app. Certain photo slots consistently give an error message like, "Failed to obtain image from device." Then I have to shut it down and use the web browser which, for whatever reason, uploads photos seemlessly but if the report was started on the app, most of my answers are missing when I change to the browser. A big time waster. So I just use the browser, which looks exactly the same but performs way better than the app.

The signal issues Moreled cited seem to be less frequent on the browser as well.
And the PIN code, yes. I have only encountered that fiasco with one MSC. When they choose to pay you less than the agreed upon amount, and you catch them at it (after many emails to various entities) someone may eventually get back to you with multi-step instructions on the PIN code to adjust the pay. I believe it is simply punishment for you taking your money out of their collective pocket. They get to keep any money they can gyp from shoppers who don't notice or persue the sleights, so it's to their advantage to make the process as difficult as possible.
I also only use the website version on my devices, usually my iPad unless it is a very short audit/shop and then I will use my phone. As @sestrahelena stated, it works fine that way. And if I start there and for some reason lose a signal and have to reconnect, I will not lose my entries. I would only lose some if I started on the APP version and then proceeded to the web version as was already mentioned. So, I do not use the APP version.
For gas stations, the only piece of advice I can add is that I personally check-in after picking up the shop to see the entire report and be able to toggle answer choices for additional/potential photo requirements. I'll check-in again when I arrive at site. For me, I've been lucky where no assignments have been dropped and was able to re check-in successfully.

The other piece of advice is, if you're ever doing a shop like an online purchase for the card type acceptance (AMEX/Discover) or QSR online pick-up, is to take screenshots with the mobile browser/app rather than on a laptop/desktop. An editor early on explained to me about the dimensions on their end. I only had one instance where the editor asked me to crop a screenshot.

For me, I personally complete the reports significantly faster with a keyboard/mouse. I do all of the reports at home on my laptop.
