Panda Express 9/10

I just received a 8/10 and a 9/10 without explanation and all my other previous Panda Shops were 10/10. Looking back at my photos it could be an angle issue or not capitalizing their entree names. Wish they could add a quick comment so we can fix it in the future, saves them time from correcting it too.

I agree..
I capitalize names of products as branded product names of the company...so I would capitalize the names of any dishes served & named by the company....but not side items for example:

"Jersey Shore's Favorite" sub but not fountain drink....

The same thing happens to me new worst times. MSC’s higher individuals to do these reviews. Some are trying to impress the MSC by not giving a perfect score. I was contacted to be a reviewer.
Just topped my formerly highest paying Panda shop with one for $31.50 plus reimbursement :-)

…and I just received my grade…another 9/10 with zero explanation :-)

I have never capitalized the entrée name, except "Beijing beef," for obvious reasons. And never was marked off for not capitalizing the other ones. I guess that is another example of different editors making their own added and unseen guidelines, lol.

In the report it says which items were unavailable. The Beijing Beef. The Mushroom Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken . So since it is capitalized in the report should it be capitalized when you fill out the report (If it is out)

$50 in Kauai, but I’m currently on a different island. sad smiley

Food is expensive here. I’m down to do them cheap when I’m in the area.
I did a couple this round. 10/10. Not sure if this make a difference, but for me, if this makes sense, I take the picture a little less than 45-degrees, from my vantage point, to show the portion size. In the narrative, I try not to repeat info already answered by the questions in the report and clarify negative answers.
I submitted my PE report on 3/2/25 and it is still waiting to be edited. Does it take a week or longer? It's been 6 days!

Mine have been taking more than a week for the last two rounds.

@purpleicee gave you a great clue.

Another clue: this MSC uses both Sassie and shopmetrics.

Yes, my last one took more than a week to be completed. Surprise was that I received a 10/10.

They rarely tell me when my score is reduced, but here are two comments that Ive received. The names of dishes, such as Kung Pao Chicken, need to be capitalized and the picture of the food needs to be taken at a 45 degree angle.
As a friend of several editors, the reason they don't share why you received a 9 is because they are minor adjustments such as spelling/grammatical errors or maybe swapping a photo because it was in the wrong spot etc. Do you realize how much time they would spend typing out everything that was corrected on the reports? To do hundreds of these a week takes time and if they are having to type out every little thing you did wrong, the small fee the editors make would be pointless. Be thankful you received a 9. Most of the time, if the survey is sent back to you for anything, you receive a 7.
Maybe it's just me, but if I'm going to waste time and energy worrying about something, it won't be something totally worthless like a grade on a mystery shop report.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
The new round of $6 for a 2 item plate in my market (So Cal) when the Dodgers win a home game just started. I am thinking it is not really worth it to do the shop unless there is a big bonus on it esp since the 2 item plate at regular price is almost $12 now so $2 out of pocket. The Dodgers are playing home games for the next few months almost half the days. If enough shoppers decide to skip the shops perhaps I will see some bonuses.
These need to be ordered online for pickup with the words DodgersWin the day after they win.
@Sandyf - Are you stating the MSC is supporting the Dodger promo on that client, since you state: "the new round of $6 for a 2 item plate?" Because the reimbursement on those shops would more than cover the order if it will only be $6 for an online order with the promo. I do not understand why it would not be worth it.
So you only post about things that you are worrying about?

That’s one way to think about it. Here’s another:

Do you realize how much time editors could save if they invested the time describing the corrections they needed to make so that the shopper would then be aware and could preemptively make the adjustments on their hundreds of future reports?

Oh, and you should not assume that my reports were sent back to me for corrections.

That's a good assumption that some of the shoppers out there would actually learn but from what I have been told, no, they don't read the emails, they don't read what is asked of them to correct and they continue to do the same mistakes over and over. It would be a nice though if that's the way the world worked.

Disagree.

The editor told me that I needed to put $4.999 instead of $4.99 for the gas price.
I haven't received anything other than a 10 since then,
I got a 9 on my last Panda (after 20 or more 10's in a row). I plan on doing no less than 100 before the year is up. It would save everyone a lot of time if I knew the issue.

I have edited plenty of reports, which made it crystal clear why the average IQ is under 100 now. Unless they are now only using English majors with Masters degrees (looking at you Jusa), my reports are in the top 10% all of the time.
If it makes anyone feel better, with this MSC, I got so many 9's, where that'll most likely be my average. With this MSC, I think if you're a 9, you're golden!
