Loving the Wells Fargo teller shops

The only teller shops I've done before are for Woodforest Bank and Ridgewood Savings Bank (New York City/Long Island area bank, when I lived there).

Woodforest makes you practically write a Tolstoy novel full of narrative for the fee (they start at $10 but I won't take them, I give in at $20).

At ol' Ridgewood the base fee was better than $10 but they made you make awkward, poorly written comments that no normal customer would say. (My favorite: Tell the teller "I need to save more money." Ewww.)

I can see even at the $15 base why the Wells Fargo teller shops fly off the board. Great stocking stuffer if along a route or in your hometown.

I am personally do not like that bank. I was their customer for many years. Meridian Bank, CoreStates, First Union, Wachovia, and Wells Fargo...got to many issues, like payment for apartment was deposited twice, got overseas transfer to my account but got withdraw instead for the same amount. I closed all accounts few years ago. No more...

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
I dont like the bank either but I do like the pay for the phone calls and teller shops when you can get them. If you open one account and have the cash to leave there and just leave it alone without trying to transfer or really do anything, just 2 calls a month gets you a 60% return on your money. IF you do more shops your return is even better.
