Are you allowed to pay at the Chevron/Texaco pump with your Chevron app?

And, can it print a paper receipt at the pump if you do? Annnnnd, Can you also pay for the in store item with the Chevron app? I would rather get these questions answered from someone who's actually done it and got their shops approved than rely on a scheduler claiming it's okay.

I actually thought about paying with the Chevron app, but decided not to. I always like the trail that a credit card provides. Sorry!
Per the guidelines: "Pay at the pump using a debit/credit card, the mobile app or a gift card."

If your path dictates you walk through hell, do it as though you own the place. -unknown
I'm happy to continue paying with my Chevron/Texaco VISA.

Of all my gas cards, this one is the absolute best when it comes to fraud issues. Even if I give them a travel update in advance of one of my routes, every now and then I'll get a decline at the pump. I can expect a text within a few seconds, and a reply of "Y" instantly opens my account again.

Really frustrating that the other cards I have with Synchrony are not consistent in their implementation when it comes to this matter.

FWIW, the Chevron app _should_ allow you to generate an image of your receipt.

That's the key to my Phillips 66 routes: their Fuel Forward app will generate a paper receipt image that the MSC will accept. If the convenience store is open I buy between 10¢ and 50¢ of gas and load up on what I need at the time with the store purchase. While I'm not concerned about the receipt walk of shame, this feature allows me to avoid having to take the time to deal with any receipt printing issues.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
