Barcelona Wine Bar and bartaco?

I used to shop these both until I aged out of the bartaco one thanks agism! haha but was wondering where Barcelona Wine Bar changed to, I know you can't tell me but if I could figure it out on my own or at least if they are still shopped, they shopped themselves so aggressively smiling smiley

Same company. But Barcelona just got an age restriction. It's now 50, which is actually lower than BT (which I think started at 45 but is now 55). Sassie changed recently to not show shops that you're not eligible for due to age, but it still showed me some of each recently, including a BT lunch that was up to $20 because they obviously had not found anyone to do it. Unfortunate, since I was nearby that location last week, but couldn't even submit a request. Barcelona shops also often go begging for shoppers. Sad to know that the company that owns them doesn't really care what older customers think.
The Bartaco locations I've shopped have been full of twenty somethings...iwasn't a family place at all...just young people sharing "apps" - those tiny tacos are perfect for a group having happy hour.....
The churros were good.
We liked the Barcelona for brunch....was actually an older crowd.
It stands out because our last time there was the day everything shut down for COVID....all the restaurant and bar staff were saying goodbye to each other and leaving. Felt odd.

Yes, we also did BWB for brunch since it's an hour from my house and easier to do then. Didn't really seem to be an old crowd at my location, although maybe not as young as at dinner.

Bartaco has a kid's menu, so they definitely do get families. Maybe not at your location. The churros are excellent, especially the fudgy chocolate sauce. And even though the tacos are small, there's plenty of other stuff to eat on the menu. I loved their tuna tartare.
So, both BT and BWB are now 50 year old max. And even the takeout shop has that age limit. So ridiculous.

Bar Taco requires ordering through the QR Code. Many they think if we are over 50 the tech will just be too much? LOL

They actually allow you to order with a server if necessary (I saw some folks do it when I last visited). BTW, as of this week, BWB shops are still 50 but BT is 55. And although the website claims I can self-assign, and the submit page says I can still submit even though I'm too old, it does not allow my request to be submitted.

I think it's the noise issue, maybe older folks were complaining about that.

The guidelines say you have to refuse a paper menu if offered and order through the QR code though.
my two cents about age or other restrictions - companies often market to a target consumer population...if you fall outside that population, your experience doesn't really matter to them...so why should they pay you for your details...IMO, doesn't make it right or wrong, just makes it what it is.
