Boy, what a day

Even though I live on the east coast of Florida, I have spent the day rescheduling or canceling the shops I had for Tuesday and Wednesday. most could have been easily changed but I had to contact the scheduler and for the restaurants. I had to cancel the reservations. Then I had to make new reservations or modify the one I had. Most I was able to change, but a few I had to cancel. I think I would rather just stay home since we will be getting lots of rain. My friend near me lives in a community that is already so flooded that they can't get out and the lakes are overflowing and that is with just a little bit of rain so far.
And I don't know if I will even have electricity. This storm is really getting big I feel so sorry fo the people on the west coast of Flordia since they are being hit twice in a very short period of time.

Sending positive vibes...trying not to worry....but when even the weather people freak out...it's hard not to.
I have lived in Fl all my life and have weathered multiple b hurricanes. My house is strong and hopefully the lake at the end of my street doesn’t overflow.
The worst part is when you lose the electricity.
Otherwise I am not too worried. Have plenty of food and water and flashlights and batteries. I can always charge my phone in my car.
Smart to move all the shops around and ope you stay safe, I feel awful seeing the damage from Helene.
Praying for the safety for all Floridians in the path of Milton and for those in NC too

A bunch of my friends are in Milton's path.. And some of them already got hit pretty hard by Helene too. This is one strange hurricane season. I saw the beginnings of Milton south of Yucatan, and thought absolutely nothing of it, I didn't even think it was going to go into the gulf at all, I thought it was going to peter out when it hit the peninsula.

Curious: how come you don't have a generator?

I have no interest in owning one. It has to stay outside and I don't feel comfortable using it.
