Target Shop

I have a Target shop coming up on behalf of the Kenny Roger store chain. Has anybody used their 5% off Target birthday discount on these shops? I know we've discussed using coupons and those have not been a problem, but thought I'd ask about this. Thank you.

The last time I did one, I believe my shop got accepted with applying promos. I applied my Target Circle rewards balance and used a gift card.

btw, happy birthday! maybe you can redeem your free Starbucks reward if it falls on the same day and there's a Starbucks inside winking smiley

I don't recommend the Starbucks inside Target.
1. Not clean
2. Untrained employees (team members, not partners)
3. Expired products.

I worked there, as did a few family members. We self-trained on You Tube.

Edited to add - yes, use discounts, just make sure that you spend enough after the discounts.

Target Grocery shop? use your discounts and coupons!! it's ok. And you can buy whatever your heart desires as long as you buy enough items and spend enough money.

Well, now that I think of it, maybe for hand-crafted beverages. I can see that being true. I go with cold brew or nitro, where you can't really mess it up. I was thinking more about the convenience factor.

If you only could see how they make the cold brew at Target .....

Honestly, shaken teas or refreshers and caramel fraps are probably safe. Hard to get sick from those. Pretty basic.
That's what my tastebuds want! Outside of that, personally it is hard to find something desirable these days from Starbucks. I agree. I just brew something at home. But it's a freebie once a year.
Thanks for the replies. I will be doing my Target shop this weekend.

As for the Target Starbucks, for me personally, my experience has been positive with them. In fact, years ago, I would always go to the Starbucks in Target after dropping my wife off at her work rather than the standalone store a half mile down the road. Partly because the poor road layout at the time did not allow my lane to turn into the standalone Starbucks. Instead, I had to go an extra half-mile out of the way, then turn around and come back down the road to the Starbucks. Too much trouble. The other reason why I enjoyed that Starbucks was because the cute college girl that worked the morning shift had a thing for me. I fed my ego, and my stomach. She knew what I liked. grinning smiley

The Target Starbucks here is a good, and I could even argue a hair better than the nearby standalone store. But yeah, those are Target employees and Starbucks logo and products are used under a licensing agreement.
Now, I remember a Tom Thumb near me that would offer a free Starbucks drink every once in a while through the Tom Thumb app. Back then, I did get a frap, and I agree with @BayShopper22 now, that it did taste a little funky.
You can get other stuff than coffee on your birthday e.g.a protein box or sandwich. I don't really like SBUX coffee altho once a year I get a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I saw an apple caramel crisp macchiato advertised at a SBux yesterday. I almost stopped to try it. I might on Monday.. seems like something to do and I have to go out anyway.
Anyone else buy the Target gift cards at 10% off during their first week of Dec sale? With the competitor pick-up shops (Target), I was able go through them.
I remember when my Target had like a food court/snack bar area (Kind of like Sam's has) where you can get stuff and eat it there.

I did not know Starbucks was in some Target's.

I remember the ICEE drinks as a child with the polar bear.

I've never seen a Target without a Starbucks. Except for the western 3rd of the country, I have been in Target stores just about everywhere and they all had Starbucks going back for the last 15 to 20 years.

I will say that Target has plans to remodel their stores and do away with the food areas, including Pizza Hut and Starbucks. Perhaps the stores in your area already started that process. I think it is a part of their 10-year capital improvement plan.

I hope the Pizza Hut's in Target stay. Convenient shop. Pizza Hut has a strong presence here with HQ being here. But Yum Brands in KY.

"The years-long relationship between Target and Pizza Hut has certainly seen its share of ups and downs. What once began as a promising endeavor began eroding as the Pizza Hut brand lost popularity and experienced diminishing profitability in its in-store Target locations. The pandemic only accelerated this process, spelling doom for most restaurants and creating boon for many online retailers. It became clear that Target took a laser-focused approach to profitability during this time, capitalizing on the growing trends in e-commerce and leveraging their stores as touch-free pickup centers. While the Target-Starbucks partnership was able to thrive in this newly-created niche, Pizza Hut faltered badly to the point where the space they were occupying in Target became more profitable as a staging area for Target's curbside orders. Given these circumstances, it's hard to see a future for Pizza Hut in Target."

That's taken from a blog about Target. They do indicate Starbucks is not going anywhere, but I heard elsewhere they will gradually be removed as stores are remodeled.
Thanks! Darn, the display case seems small enough and they seem to just heat them in the bakery. Oh well.
