Bubba's 33 and Texas Road House questions

I have a couple of questions about the Bubba 33's shop...

1) is The Bubba's 33 dine in shop report just about the same as the TRH Dine In Report?

2) Can you go by your self or do you need to take a guest?

3) Are these self assign shops or do you have to wait for a scheduler?

4) I know TRH does not do do take out shops any more but does Bubba's 33 offer them? If they do, can you order from a human over the phone or do you have to order on the app/web site?

It has been a several months since I have done a TRH shop of any kind. It seem like at one time, I saw that they had take out shop for Bubba's but I could be wrong..

I know when I did the TRX take out shops, several months ago, I talked to a human.. I rather talk to a human when placing a to go order..

Also I could be wrong but it seem like one month you can self assign, and other times you have to wait for a scheduler to assign it to you?

I know sometimes the MSC does not give all the details till after you are assign the shop..

1) Bubba's is not exactly the same, but it is similar.

2) You can go alone.

3) One I have done required applying.

4) They do have Bubba's take-away shops.
Thanks.

I just have not seen any Bubba's take out shops posted in several months.

I miss the TRH take out shops..

All the take out shops that I have done in the past, required you to order through the human

You're welcome. I saw a Bubba's location with take-out shops this month.

I just did a Bubba's take-out yesterday. The instructions stated that you can order through the app, online, or on the phone. I attempted to order online, but a message popped up stating I needed to call them for my order. They did not have the item I wanted to order available, but I ordered a different entree. The report was fairly simple and I received a quick turn-around on the approval.
I’ve done both dine-in and pick-up. For the location I visited, they tend place a higher emphasis on customer engagement and satisfaction than TXRH. Also, I was a fan of their salads.

The pick-up shops always went smoothly for me. I did curbside pick-up. The only thing noteworthy to me was the photo requirement of the food after you take it out of the packaging and onto your plates.
If I remember right, when I did the TRH shops, we had to order over the telephone.

What item did order?

Thanks for the reply ShopperGirly and Okie

I know when I do other take out shops, I need to take pictures of the food..

For this MSC, I only found about them fairly recently. I never came across the TXRH take-out shops.

One advantage of placing your order online, is that the email receipt is clean and contains all of relevant info - time ordered, estimated pick-up time, itemized, etc.
The only thing about one of the photos for this shop, is that the food has to be out of the packaging. I interpreted that as on plates ready to eat. (Sorry if I’m being too obvious.) As a result, I’ll make this my last shop and take the photos at home. It would be a pain inside of the car.

Editing to add, maybe I should have used the word containers instead of packaging.

Okie

I did several TRH take out shops before COVID. Sadly, they don't offer them any more sad smiley

When I did the TRH house take out shops, I took the pictures at home.

I opened all the box tops and took off all the lids on the side items and I left the food inside the containers.

My reports were always accepted

At TXRH, I do like how they have a window you can just walk up to, to pick up your order. I don’t know if there’s a Velvet Taco near you, but that’s what it reminded me of.
For Bubba you are definitely not supposed to transfer the food to plates unless something changed as that would be pretty strange.

First photo is of the food with everything still covered.

Second photo is with open food containers, meaning what the food looks like right after the container is open.

Third photo is also open but with removing lids or wrapping from items inside of the larger containers like something wrapped in foil or small containers of salad dressing.

I've never heard of having to transfer the food onto a plate before taking the pictures, that doesn't make sense. They usually want pics of the packaging, and then they want pics of the food with the packaging open, tops off containers, sandwich wrappers open. When I do take out shops I usually take all of the pics in the back hatch of my car.
I don’t want to post the instructions verbatim. But it says something to the effect of remove packaging and ready to eat. Anywho, fortunately, mine got accepted.
I never heard of bubbas 33 (i have heard of bubba gump). I see one near my gym is opening early 2025. I'm getting exciting knowing it's another place to be shopped.
Since there's already a Tx Roadhouse thread ....

I've been self-assigning Tx Roadhouse shops for years. Now some of them I can self-assign but most are "apply" -- which I don't mind too much, except I'm being asked to list 3 available dates. Which means I can't plan ahead because I don't know which date I'll get it for (if any). Since I'm traveling 30-60 miles to most of these, I include them as part of a route, and now I'm not able to do so effectively. Are others seeing the same thing?
The current bar shops that are out there for Texas seem to be "apply" shops for me.

There are different schedulers with this company. I do not know the specifics of Bubba33 or TXRH posting, but i see "apply" on the ones listed now (bar scenario). I want to say it was self-assign when I picked up the dinner one I did in the last month.

For the BJ's brewhouse, One scheduler has apply for their location and one scheduler does Self-assign for their locations. It's strange that they would not do it the same way, but whatever.
Thanks for the info.

I don't know whether the scheduler for the ones I'm seeing will be advising people who are NOT chosen, or if it's a "no reply means no" situation.

It's a shame to be asking for three dates; it's not practical for shoppers to block out 3 days on their calendar for a job they not only may not get, but they may not even be TOLD they're not getting it. (Okay, that's a lot of "nots" in one sentence -- I hope that made sense!)
When you apply with Sassie, I have always received a "closed" email letting me know it was assigned to someone else. You either receive "accepted" or "closed" notifications.

I’m not sure, but I think it may also be due in part to the main/lead scheduler being on vacation for a period of time next month.
I have done several TRH shops and I have received an "10" on all of them.

I would like to do an Bubba's 33 shop sometimes, but if you have to apply and just say Person # 1 has never done a shop for this company and they pick 3 days to do it.

Person # 2 applies (Which is me) and I have done 30 + shops for this company /TRX and I am available only one day.

The scheduler picks person # 1

I know each client has a # of set days in between shops and some are shopped twice a month.

It has been several months since I have done a TRX shop. But if I remember right, it was self assign and I was able to pick ONE DAY I was able to go.

On the Bubba's if it is three days, just say I pick 24,25,26 and the scheduler gives me the 26th.. Well I decide to do it on the 24th? Will I still be able to do it?

I know some clients have a set # of days in between visits.
I know when I did Applebee's take out shops several months, I had to take an picture of the food inside of the bag..

Once I took the picture of the food inside of the bag, I took the food out of the bag and I put the boxes on my table and I open all of the containers and lids and I took the require pictures.

If I remember right, on the TRX take out shops, I did not have to take a picture of the food inside of the bag... Just of the food inside the boxes with the lids off.. But I could be wrong
There are 4 bar visits in my area due Sept 1-5. They are self assign and they've been out there a week. The schedulers must be sitting on them.
There is a TRX bar one in my area for Aug 22 to Aug 27th for self assign

There is a TRX bar one in my area for Aug 31 to Sept 5 as apply. I must pick 3 days to shop..

Hum??

I have had the exact same thing happen. I always get “10” and have worked for them for years.

Perhaps the company requires a new face to do the shop.
Just a thought but have you reached out to the scheduler to ask why they aren't on self assign?
No I have not..

I don't like sitting at the bar.. I rather sit in the dining room .

I have never done a Bubba's shop, but I would like to smiling smiley
