Anyone else do the Kiosk Coca Cola shop?

At a certain fast food restaurant? I tried one today, and I won't be doing them again unless the requirements change/and the form is fixed. Pay isn't worth it. Pictures, pictures, and more pictures. It seemed they wanted a photo for every step in the process. I am pretty fast when using kiosks in my day-to-day life, but it took me a little over seven minutes to order one measly combo meal because they ask for so many photos. On top of that, nearly every question on their form has a photo upload requirement along with two additional optional photo uploads. Well, they say the two additional photos are optional but when I tried to submit the form after uploading just the required photos, it wouldn't accept it until I uploaded photos for all the optionals too. I doubt they really need three photos of the kiosk's static home screen. What a headache. Curious if anyone else tried this shop and what you thought.

Is this something you found on Presto or Field Agent? I haven't seen these, but I rarely use those platforms.

we learned our lesson about those shops last year when they did this. It's a ton of pictures, and it's hard enough doing the shop on the ap with all the drink picture screen shots, I can't even imagine having to take pictures of all of the drink screens while standing at the kiosk with folks watching. 10 ft. pole for me..
Yep...
Search the forum, there is LOTS of talk about it.
Not touching them for under $100
Did these lasr year when the fee went higher. I was hoping it was less pics but i guess not. If i do it again i am bringing someone to stand next to me and take a video, then i can screen shot. They disappeared really fast though.

Presto.

Saw them in my area and was thinking about it. Thanks for the heads-up, OP.
As soon as I started reading the guidelines I remembered the thread here from the last round. Waaay too much effort for the fee. And way too many ways for it to go wrong and get rejected.
The first one I did was a bit messy since it's hard to know what you have to photograph before you actually fill out the report. Plus the "optional" pictures that are required...

The second one was much easier since I already knew what to expect.

May I ask how you handled the "optional" photos? I just uploaded the same photo three times and wrote a note that I didn't take extra photos of some screens because the form said optional. Thankfully, they accepted the shop.

I didn’t try the kiosk one but the drive thru. Thought that was even tougher since you couldn’t add any pictures until you check in, and my order was placed a bit further out from the location. If I take on another, I will order from the location

I tried using screenshots last year and they first asked for pictures then declined payment. Live and learn.

Did you get paid AND reimbursed? I had one scheduled and then it looked like I would only get the $12 reimbursement and no fee. I have done these in the past for big $$ and remember a lot of photos. (although I got pretty good at it)
Last year I think my rule was that I wouldn't do them for under $20. Which they reached easily enough.

My tip is to take a video and then capture stills as needed. You can hold your phone in front of you inconspicuously. Then all the work is done sitting down with your phone instead of standing in front of the kiosk. (But you do need to make sure you scroll the menus slowly and sufficiently enough that your video has the material you'll need.)

What exactly is the difference between a "digital photo" and a "screenshot of a video"? Did you have extra icons or something on the screen? Because if you're properly snipping stills from a video it should be identical. (Except for resolution, probably, but I bet your phone's video meets the min specs anyway.)
They're cluttering up the job board. You can't even filter them out because they're posted under two different titles and you can only filter one at a time, it seems.

I had a video of the entire job on 1 phone and stills on the other phone. I filed the report with the stills first. Then email questions for better pictures. I took screenshots of the video cropping the icons they said the pictures were too small amd they rejected.
OK, that's what I was afraid of. You accidentally downgraded from your full camera resolution to less than a screen width. Here's how you do it instead.

Instead of doing a screenshot, you want to do a "frame capture". Samsung, from their Gallery app, has a single button in the lower left to do it. (It looks like a black & white version of the YouTube icon.) If you're on a different Android you might use Google Clips. Or for Android or iPhone you can use an app called Frame Grabber.

[support.google.com]
[apps.apple.com]
[play.google.com]

Any of these will take the full resolution image just as if it was a picture in the first place.

Also, a tip you may find handy: If you ever have a picture you're confident is clear enough to show the subject but it doesn't meet an arbitrary resolution, you want "image upscaling". Google that term and you'll find lots of sites that will give you a better resolution for free with minimal effort you your part. (They all advertise "AI" now but it's really a simpler process you want.) Here's one example:

[bigjpg.com]

Again it can't add details to a blurry pic, but it's good for meeting technical requirements.

And one potential bit of good news: If that denied shop went back on the board, you can try again and submit the same receipt with better images. I had a very similar problem last year with these same shops and I didn't even get a reply from support until after the window had lapsed. So rather than try to discuss it with people who don't reply, I submitted again and it passed. It really sucks to get denied a shop you're out of pocket on, so if you're meeting the client's criteria don't let a bad MSC interface get in the way of your submission.
Excellent tip, Amarsir! I have tried using screenshots on Presto and they are always too small. I did not know there was a way around it, now I do!
I finally got a look at the guidelines...they almost scream "high chance of rejection!!" This'll be a 10-footer for me.
