The new USPS shops - from someone who's done one

You can put comments in the App. Under the "Visit" section the question "Where you able to complete your shop?" there is a comments box. I've entered a few comments there regarding oddities.

FWIW, I've had a 1lb. 3oz package weigh in at 7 oz at a nearby post office. I even questioned the clerk as to why it was so inexpensive and asked if his scale was correct. He could not have cared less and only restated the amount. Same guy, same result..at least two other times. I was paid after explaining, but that's when there was a place to explain on the form...old MSC.

If anybody was actually worried about the weight of the package, they could always make a trip over to a post office (not at the same date/time as you're going to do the shop, of course) and weigh it on the SSK scale.

I can't imagine anybody doing that continually, though. Much easier to just buy a good quality food scale from Amazon.

I've left comments there one time as well in hopes that it would go through and be read. I thought that box was to explain why the shop couldn't be completed, but it looks like the only place to add needed comments.

Does anyone know the pay dates for these shops? I’ve been paid on the 16th and 30th the past couple months for these but I have several that go back to 9/12 and still haven’t got paid. At least 3 are past 17 days which is when they say shops are usually paid by. I’m just trying to figure out when they pay for these. I’ve sent several email directly to the company and haven’t received a response.

@Cassiespark probably has the best data on this

But of the two shops I've been paid, I've had similar results to you. Paid on 7/17 and 7/31. Anywhere from 26-31 days.
I actually have an old old post office scale that i got from an office I once worked in 40 years ago that did a lot of mailings so had an official scale there. But i think it is their digital scales that are sometimes off. I once asked for an underweight item to be reweighed and when they weighed it again it was closer to what i thought it should be.

I asked for clarification around this, and was told its a suggestion, not a new rule. SandyF is correct above that they are trying to hedge against someone's home scale showing a pound and the USPS scale showing under a pound. Not sure you need to add a whole 1/2 pound to avoid that (especially since they didn't increase reimbursement) but thats their recommendation.

Get a good quality scale. Mine turned out to be quite accurate.
I didn't get paid on the 30th either, which seems odd. They had been paying every 2 weeks. Ugh! I have 10+ shipping shops that are now 25 days old and haven't been paid.

The payment for me just posted. One shop was mid-Sep-ish and the other a little over a week ago.
Had a nice chat with the scheduler who set me up with shops and reshops for with a $20 bonus. So no chhhhhhh bad chhhhhhh con - chhhhhhhh bad connection chhhhhhh. Recommend you pick up when he calls with a hard luck location. They could go higher on the bonus, though!
I received a call this morning from a Virginia number, but an overseas person (with a very heavy accent) asking if I would do a post office location.

Nope. Not for what they're offering.

That's too bad. They're just trying to get regular stuff scheduled. The shops I was scheduled for have historically been difficult locations, going back to the old MSC.
Same here. $5… I would do them for $10 so I could at least put together a route and make $50 a day. $5 doesn’t even get me to and from in gas money.

I told them I would do them for $10. They looked to see if they could bonus and couldn’t.

None of them are bonused yet by me and there are plenty to choose from. I wanted to send my grandson a goody package at college.

They posted some on that aggregator app inviting people to apply for ones which were bonused and directing them to the app they are currently using. I was telephoned personally about some bonused shops in my area. If you know of locations near you which the old MSC had a hard time filling, those might be bonused.

Just updating that I received a call from 703 / Arlington, VA number. Friendly female. However, played hardball when inquiring about a potential bonus for nearby shops.
I received a call from an 703 number the other day. Am I allowed to post the number to see if it spam or from them?
I received a call from Winston/Salem. Same company. The agent on the phone kept asking for my name to know what shops to offer me. Is that odd to you? I politely said 'goodbye' with out divulging that I am Rho.
