Kroger

I was able to get 3 competitor pick ups, 3 competitor in stores, 2 Kroger pick up and 2 instore as well as 3 fuel shops. Surprisingly, the pick ups sat on the job board long after I had decided enough for me today. I am pleased.

I managed to snag one more pickup, giving me an equal number of pickups and instores including some nice competitor pickups which we haven't had for a while. Hoping that I did it right. There seem to be a lot of lingering competitor pickups in our area, maybe people didn't take their usual quantity of instores, whether due to the new requirements, restrictions on same day instore and pickup, or website bugs.

The competitor shops flew off the board in my area! I only managed to snag 2 in-stores.
Still no pickups in Ohio strange it’s taking this long, usually they come up shortly after the in store shops..
Lisyy, I am in Dayton and have the list set to 50 mls. I do not have interest in the pick-up shops, but I did notice at approx. 15:00 there were dozens at the bottom third of my page. As I type this at 17:30, nine remain.
I m doing an Aldi competitor. One thing I like in Aldis is the Moscato and Sangria wine- cheap at 3.45 a bottle. Has anyone ever bought alcohol on a shop? is is allowed? I am obviously over 21 times 3 plus more so not an issue of age! LOL The directions do not say what 3 different items totally $9.00 need to be- so would like to enjoy a nice drink after all my running around.
If I remember right, the guidelines state "no age restricted items". I've never done any alcohol during my Kroger shops.

I have purchased alcohol and my reports were approved. I didn't know there was that wording in the guidelines.
So weird, I finally found them. For some reason it was only showing me the in store shops closest to me and the pickup shops were of in order they were scattered with the closest one to me listed on the 3rd page and then ones really far away listed on the second page. I’ve never seen that but just fyi if anyone isn’t seeing them.
I noticed that the pick up shops were all listed under the in store shops. They were not mixed in. This was how the fuel shops were done but we didn’t get any. I think we just didn’t see them.
I do not see anything about not purchasing liquor on shops- also no verbiage about age restricted- I will write to my scheduler as I like Aldi wines.

If you don't know the answer dont reply. Too many people here like to hear themselves write. Stop "remembering ".

I just read the new guidelines for Jan 2024. The only thing it says about what to buy is: Buy 3 or more items totaling $9 or more and no gift cards.

And, for the record, I have purchased hard cider once or twice. In CA we could buy any kind of alcohol in a grocery store (but I only ever bought tequila or vodka on my own dime). Living in the South is a little different, the hardest thing you can buy in a grocery store is wine or beer.

I have purchased alcohol in store and also for a pickup. I asked when I first did and my scheduler just said to bring ID. She also flipped out when I asked about gift cards once.

The guidelines and questions don't seem to match up across the board.
The only restriction I see in the guidelines is for gift cards. The guidelines and questionnaire posted at the bottom do not agree on the milk issue. It is always a good idea to read the whole thing before doing the first job of a new set when they highlight that there are new instructions.

I guess we will find out for sure about the milk inconsistency when completing the first assignment. With the glass or open cases it's easy enough to scan for expired dates on the ones at the front.

@ MarySha, You can sort by "Project" in the filters where there is a separate list for Pickup, also sort the general Kroger list by Scenario rather than distance, by clicking on that column heading. Sometimes instead of distance I will sort by City (a few closer cities I won't go to, and a few farther I will) .

On the website under Kroger open shops it shows the inside shops first, by mileage from home. If you keep scrolling, the fuel shops are listed after the instore shops, again by mileage. Keep scrolling and the pickup shops are listed below that, by mileage from home.

The website was working well, so I didn't look at the shops on the mobile app when I was trying to assign my regular shops. And now there aren't any left, so I can't tell if they are or were listed similarly on the app, or if they were just listed by mileage from home like they were before.
I thought the glitchy thing was fixed? I guess not. Please delete.

Clearly not every one is adept at efficient use of the website, because you can sort instead of scrolling through hundreds of shops. The shop listing was slightly different than last month's, as before you would look by page and today you had to scroll down through hundreds of shops unless you knew how to sort. Even with the hangups when pickups were first loaded I managed to get 7 including 4 competitors. The limit for me was missing out on the first 15 minutes of in-store shops. I was cutting up a pineapple and it took longer than I realized. By the time I logged in a lot of my regulars were gone or the dates didn't work.

Possibly competitor shops rotate by region or only done quarterly. I was pleased to see them, my last ones were in November. Sadly I missed out on any of the competitor in-stores, only got the pickups.

Yes. Just finished my first in store and the questionnaire online matches the one posted at the end of the Guidelines. I.e., it only asks about milk dates in general, not broken down by type. There is no question for out of stock for milk. I still looked at at least three of the formerly specified ones (if they were in stock) and just scanned the front row of all store brand half and gallons for the out of date window (easy through the glass doors). Hopefully they will make the sample guidelines match the actual questionnaire soon to avoid confusion. I emailed the scheduler about the conflict.

I’ve only done the pick-up shops for Kroger, since the in-store and fuel ones reimburse a lesser amount. I grabbed four this time around, because I was unsure if more would put me over the limit. And, I only purchase food, because the guidelines don’t specify if paper goods, etc could also be added.
Shar27…you cannot do only pick ups as it is not fair to others that you take only the high paying shops. Read past posts about this
Paper goods and cleaning supplies are allowed Shar27- I have bought those and no issues- BUT if you only take pick ups you will be stopped out of shops as it is NOT FAIR for you to take all the high paying relatively easy shops!

The MSC requires that you take an equal number of in store shops to the number of pick up stops always maintaining a 1:1 ratio. If you take only pick up shops, your account will become restricted and you will not be able to see or take any pick up jobs.

This used to be an unwritten rule with the company but I believe it s now in their job descriptions. They have also added that if the 1:1 ratio is not maintained that they can/will delete some of your jobs.

When I was new and this was an unwritten rule, I did only pickup shops because they do compensate better. I was then restricted from signing up for any and had to take a month off from them and do only in store shops before they would remove my restrictions. Also, during one of the times the MSC was having website issues I was having trouble scheduling my shops and let the scheduler know and told her I was fully intending on taking in store shops to match the number of pick ups. Well, I guess she had not gotten to that message yet and some of my pick ups were deleted including one I had scheduled for that day and had already purchased. It was a little tricky but I finally got a hold of the scheduler and got it all sorted out. I share this so that you don't end up making unreimbursed orders for shops that could be cancelled.
Yes for sure Olympia- I had problems last posting finding in store to match the pick ups and had to go a bit beyond my usual shopping area to meet the requirement. With the way the jobs are posted it can be tricky but I was able to match 3 in store competitors with 3 pick up competitors although they were different store brands- they still were the same competitor category- and 2 instore Kroger with 2 Kroger pick ups.
I got an answer re the milk, we still just check the sizes and types specified as before, only. If a single one is out of date, mark NO. Don't have to check all types.
