I found more money while out mystery shopping

I walked out of a store and found a wade of cash on the ground. (10 $1 bills). I went into 2 stores but no one dropped anything outside the store and there was no one else around.

Mom was walking in a strip mall around Christmas and kicked a brown paper bag. That's how long ago it was. Called the bank in the plaza and found out it was a stores receipts for the day lost while going to the bank.

Mom returned it, no reward that I knew of, but. That's how trustworthy people used to be.

Today? Who knows.

They should have given your mom something..
I don't have a pet, but a neighbor's German Shepherd used to come sit at the fence whenever I was in the garage, wanting me to come play. Sometimes I would be in there for an hour or so, and he would still be there waiting when I finished. I went into TSC one day to buy a toy for him and dropped something on the ground, and saw a bill under the shelf. Pulled it out, and it was a wad of about $70. Left my name and number with the cashier, but never heard anything. I always joked that playing with the dog was a great business move. He got a box of fancy treats after that one.
I found a dime and 2 pennies in the Kroger I was shopping last week! WOOHOO! What a haul!
4weeks ago i found an oversized wallet with a US passport, 2 CCs, no drivers license, and $71 in 5s and 1s. Note, there was no strip club nearby. In fact, it was right in front of OPEN-AI, the company that owns Chat GPT. The owner of the wallet is a well publicized local singer guitarist so i easily found his contact info, called him and he came in 20 mins, tried to give me a cash reward but I refused. My reward is knowing that he walked away a happy person and will spread good vibes to others.

Several years ago, I found an IPhone at a gas station's entrance/exit. Since it was lying on the exit side, I made the assumption that someone had set it atop their car, forgot about it and drove off.
I pressed some buttons and it called a number. A woman answered in another language. I spoke English and then French to her. She quickly switched to English and replied that it was her son's phone. She enquired as to who I was using her son's phone. I explained about finding the phone and who I was. She asked for my name and address. since I was quite a distance from her home, she asked that I send it to her. She gave me her address and I sent it. I never heard from them again - or so I thought.
Perhaps 6 months later, I received a letter for $20 and a note from the woman explaining that she had completely forgotten to send me a small reward and money to cover the postage.
My daughter left for college last week. As I was cleaning her bedroom, I found a $1 bill, almost another dollar’s worth of loose change, and some leftover euro from her overseas summer internship. Finder$ keeper$ in this house?

I found an ipod about 14 years ago at the gym and returned it to the manager on desk. I hope whoever lost it got it since it was expensive back then.
One day when I was taking care of my elderly mother, I searched all the upholstered furniture in her living room. Found all kinds of change. We went to one of those Coinstar places at Kroger's to count it all. It was more than $40.

I took her to lunch that day. We had enough for two meals (including a senior special), drinks, dessert, and a good tip.
Years ago when doing an airport parking shop, I found what I believe to be a pilot's wallet in the parking lot. Had the wings but no ID and tons of cash both US and Euros. Was on the international terminal side. I turned it into security. I'm pretty sure somebody was looking for that!

Leaving a restaurant one night after a shop, I found $100 bill in some landscaping. There was no one else around and nobody was looking for it. That was a nice bonus!
