Visa Debit Card

It does not help that a lot of the locations are small restaurants with front counters. So if they do not have the signage cancel the egg roll ?

I'd still buy the egg roll, but not because of the shop..
I won't get out of my car for $10, but I hope that others have figured out how to make the assignments profitable and are not losing money. These debit card shops paid $65 toward the end of the last round and the scheduler sent multiple emails out begging for people to take them. The companies will keep the fees low as long as shoppers take the shops. I did a few gas stations today that normally pay $14; they paid $75. I feel accomplished as opposed to feeling used. smiling smiley

And passing along the bonuses you received helps all of us on this forum.

That was the intention - there were quite a few of these posted. There was no email or announcement; the jobs just showed up.
A ton of these popped up in my area. 80% were taken w/in 24hrs. I'm still not seeing any reimbursement in the listing.
I tried some of these and wanted to warn others. The grader rejected them and told me I needed to make a purchase and provide proof if the employee said or if there was a sign stating that there was a minimum. On the survey I explained that the minimum for the places I did not make a purchase was $10 in goods.

The grader said they would make a reimbursement up to $4 above the minimum. Does that mean $10 ($6 stated reimbursement plus $4) or $14 (the location minimumn $10 plus the $4 above the minimum. If it's $10 then I would look like a jerk for not tipping. The rejected places were bars and you have to buy at least $10 in liquor to use a DEBIT card, then sales tax, and tip.

I told them how am I supposed to know about the adjustment in reimbursement if it isn't stated anywhere in the guidelines. I don't get why they think it is acceptable to change the rules of the shop AFTER I went there and reject the shop based on new rules.

***While I was writing this, I revisited the guidelines and it states: Please note in the comments if you were not allowed to make a purchase under the required minimum

So am I supposed to go into my shopper fee to cover the minimum? Guidelines state just note that you could not make a purchase under the required minimum. What the grader said runs contrary to the stated guidelines.

You won't see bonuses until the end of the shopping period. I've never done one of these shops, so I don't know if they are quarterly or just random. Most of the shops local to my area have been snapped up as well, but I did notice that they would disappear and reappear during the last round. The remote areas were paying $65 each at the end of the last shopping period and I think, but I am not positively sure, that I saw one at $75. I have no idea about reimbursement.
I just saw this shop in my area today and read the guidelines. The location is a nail salon. I have a MasterCard debit, so I can't do it, but it seems like a stupid shop and not worth it to me.

The editor working on this project is new and she is just awful. She isn't interested in what the guidelines say. She is interested in arguing only. I have stopped doing this shop after several interactions with her nonsensical comments and questions and repeated gyrations of nonsense. You'll have to escalate to IPSOS management if you want something resolved at this point, but for a measly $10 its just not worth the time or effort.
I did this shop. The fee was on a sign on the window. Employee confirmed the fee. Fee did not appear on the first receipt I was given. I asked about it. They said something about the bank would charge me. I demanded to be shown the charge. They produced another receipt. Cash register receipt no fee, credit receipt had a fee. Fee didn't match. Seemed shady.
@Cassiespark without mentioning her name, does the editor's name start with Ka? I ask because I believe there is at least another lady editing these jobs too.

I think it is worth it to escalate it to management since the longer nothing is said about her performance, the longer management thinks she is doing a good job and she will continue to reject jobs that are compliant with the guidelines. What is the procedure to escalate to someone above her?

@Swilli This happened to me where the charge was displayed on the store door entrance. The cashier did a sneaky move by putting the entire charge as the cost of the soda I bought. He told me ithe drink was $1.70, but then charged $2.70 for the item plus tax. I mentioned it in the notes and I had a pic to back me up about the charge.

The editor also said that as long as the minimum is nothing outrageous, it will be reimbursed. I asked her What is outrageous and why is nothing like that which will back up her claim in the guidelines. I asked her several times about why the higher reimbursement is not stated anywhere and radio silence from her.

A lot of poor editing going around.
Big fat no!

Am I reading it right that there are 74 questions? WTF is that? I've looked at the places around me. None of them make sense to just walk in and try to buy something for $5.

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
I looked at a bunch this morning while drinking my coffee, and most are not places that lend themselves to random shopping. Luggage stores, hair salons, locksmith, a few small restaurants. Nothing to walk in and buy a small item. Too much hassle for $10.
I had a hair salon on my list and it was giving a cash discount. I didn't buy anything because the cheapest item was a lip wax at $10 which is more than the stated reimbursement. I am a guy so how would that look with me getting a lip wax when I need to shave every day and my 5 o'clock shadow was already starting to come in when I visited the salon. They were busy and it was gonna be about 45 minutes before they could get to me.

They only sell services, no product. Shop rejected

Even if there was an item for let's say $5 that I could buy. The charge isn't going to show anything on the receipt. They are giving a 3.5% discount off the prices when using cash.
Ask about buying a gift card. You want a small dollar amount as it's for your daughter to give to her friend or something.

Yes! Its the Ka editor. I did send a detailed email to IPSOS on Monday after another barrage of madness. The Program Manager is "looking in to it".
@Cassiespark I received emails that the job was not accepted and "If you wish to appeal this rejection, please fill out this" Every job that I appealed was ruled in my favor.

I am pleased with the outcome and hope that they talk to that editor to set her straight.
So there are a few showing up in my area right now. It is 7 PM. I think of the three only one is actually a business. The others are houses. I was hesitating and thought for sure someone else would grab them but I have to take and do them within 12 hours. So....I do not think i want to go to a house and start taking pics in the dark. I am thinking they will stay on the boards until some more reasonable hour to start the 12 hour countdown. I am not an early riser so the early birds will catch those worms to get out of the house and do them by 8 or 9 am! Oh well!
Those houses are still there after several days. I looked one up as the business name was listed on the job. It turned out to be a business that arranges rock and punk concerts in large venues. The business is not listed at that house however on their website under about it says they are in my zip code. But this is a business where you contact them online. So if they have a sign above their door with the name of the company I would not even be able to purchase anything for less than thousands and thousands of dollars. I guess i would have to get them to arrange a concert by a famous artist in my back yard. '
If this is the case can I just take a pic of the private residence with no walk in business inside?

What do you guys take a picture of if there's no counter or register? Like a restaurant where the waitstaff process payments out of site on the ordering computer?

Sandyf - I'm an early riser. You just stay right there, I'll go get 'em! Haha
the majority of places I visited so far are small business eateries. Just ask question about surcharge and leave (if they said no surcharge) will place me on akward position (as a fool). So I am buying even no purchase are required.
The fee is changing. It was started as $10, and later was $12 and a couple days ago was $15. Now trere are more shops in my area and come back to $12.

I got $12, $15 and once $6(half of $12) becase the store was closed that day.

I had several locations that were closed or even no business located there. I was paid the full amount for each shop.

The Visa debit shops disappeared for me today. Did anyone else see the same? Yesterday it had an end date of October 30th, but wasn't sure how credible it was because last week it had October 23rd.
Yep! I looked at them this morning. Saw a route I wanted but a few locations were pizza places that don't open till 4 so I was going to wait till about 10am to grab them (12hr deadline) and now they are allllllllllllll gone. Even the one in Gary at the strip club.

@luckygirl0100 Thank you for confirming. Hopefully they come back. I had planned on knocking out a few today.

Earlier in the week they went to $15 and then dropped back to $12 when they released more. Yesterday evening I noticed they spiked back to $15. Like you said, they were there earlier this morning.

@sestrahelena I ran into this yesterday with a sit down restaurant. I took a picture of the bar that had a POS terminal and figured that should work. They weren't busy when I stopped by and was lucky to have a free moment of line of sight access to the bar without an employee in the way.
I got the same things. I was able to pick two. After that I planned to do one more. I saw it awailable but it was a couple of miles from my second place. When I parked near third one I discovered that location as well as others nearby were disapeared. I restarted my Iphone as well as the Presto and no luck.
