Whole Foods Delivery Shop

Ok I just thought it said we had to commit to a year, so I assumed after that they would see if we were still interested. It wouldn’t be a lot of work to send out a mass email to do that and not poll everyone again as you say. I don’t remember if it was said how long they program would go on otherwise

Sprinkled throughout this entire 12 pages are ideas of what to order that MAY be accepted for the liquid non food item. I used to think the all purpose spray or tub and tile spray were good but am disillusioned now since it comes out of the bottle in large foamy batches targeting just a small fraction of the area I want to clean. They are hard to clean up and use up almost a whole bottle just on one time in my shower. The alternatives I am considering trying are the body washes. I have a 10 year supply of dish soap from Costco and don't know about how the shampoo compares. After a year of testing these items what do you shoppers now consider the best items to order in this category?

I have liked the everyone hand wash in the scent grapefruit. The 365 body wash is okay but I’m not in love with it. I got rose and the scent is kind of light. Mrs. Meyers hand soap is okay. I did not like the 365 hand soap. The fragrance I got was pear and it smelled nothing like pear to me. I tried a shampoo from ren pure and the fragrance was really nice but it made me breakout.

Okay. Phew. That’s my whole list! Hoping others chime in because I need ideas too.
For my last order, I purchased Dishwasher Rinse Aid. This next one will be toilet bowl cleaner. I've also bought glass cleaner. I hate the pear scented hand soap.

Right? I found it drying and the smell was not like pear.
I have bought a lot of spray cleaners and liquid dishwashing soap. Three times I bought shampoo and was criticized once but not recently. Yesterday I bought the toilet cleaner. I will try the liquid dishwasher rinse aid if it is $5 or under. I would really like to buy some hair conditioner or fabric softener but don’t find any cheap enough to buy. Has anyone else bought these items?
I’ve purchased fruit and vegetable wash. I wanted to try the Mrs. Meyers dish soap in geranium but it’s always sold out. I didn’t care for the seventh generation dish soap it had no scent to me.

I’m strangely in love with the 7th gen clementine zest and lemongrass (or whatever it’s called). I can’t say I’ve ever had feelings for dish soap before! Lol
Hello all you Whole Food shoppers .I ordered the shampoo this week and was told not to order anything but the cleaning stuff on the list or dish soap. I just sent a note to my scheduler asking if the list can be expanded. I do not like the cleaning stuff as it comes out in big clumps and hard to spread and even harder to clean up. Those who do this shop weekly certainly do not need so much of the two or three items on the list.
I suggest all who would like the accepted list to be longer to send in a request for that to their schedulers and make suggestions of additional items that would fit the bill. (some sort of liquid that is a spray or pump?)
If enough of us make this request, perhaps they will add some more choices so we do not need to worry the editors will squash what we purchased. Thanks
Edited to say I heard back from my scheduler who says I can only order the two 365 cleaning items or dish soap. So much for that request. I am thinking Swili? who was told only conditioner and shampoo must be doing a different shop. It seems there is also a fruits and veggie one as well as the meat and chicken and eggs one.

I purchased dishwasher rinse aid and the reviewer noted shampoo, conditioner and body wash only.

A scheduler just sent out an email to stick to the first choice products and only choose alternatives if the first choice is not available, adding that other items might not be "properly" reimbursed. I'm interested to see what properly means to them.
I just saw the email you're referring to.

It was the editor's comments. The instructions say cleaning products so I was baffled.
I may have been the cause of that email you got as the email came right after I suggested widening that category. I assume we all have the same scheduler but maybe not. It would be interesting to know if all the schedulers are sending out the same email. After doing this job over and over for a year I think they should give some leeway. But I will stick to the rules and continue doing the job.

Oh, you're the one who ruined the party! Kidding.

Did the schedule respond to you personally?
Yes, my scheduler responded to me right away and then sent the email out this morning. I just basically suggested adding a few more items that seemed to fit the pump or spray liquid category to the list. Not sure why some of those items are not already on the list as they seem to fit what they are getting after...plastic bags for packaging and make sure they are not leaking... It was a suggestion on my part, not a demand.

I truly don't see why they're so rigid on the chemical products. How much dish soap can one person use? I've given some away, but the more I give away, the less incentive I have to keep doing this shop. I'm single, so I'm already giving away eggs every other time I shop, bread because I'm doing Weight Watchers, ice cream for the same reason....

I also think ordering the same stuff over and over makes us more obvious as mystery shoppers.
I would think ordering the same over and over would attract attention in so many mystery shops especially since we are not allowed to order anything else. I have witnessed enough of workplace chatter in my life in the breakroom about customers who seem out of the ordinary. I can imagine a bag packer in the breakroom talking about how this one person orders the same exact order every week and never adds anything else to their order. And the manager is sitting right next to them hearing that. But on the other hand there is a mistake my store makes every single time on packaging. I report it every time but it has not yet been corrected.
I do not think we stand out at a fast food place tho by the order. I always order the same meal in most restaurants I eat in. It's the same beginner never been there before questions that might out you after you have been going to that location enough times to remember the answer.
This shop is on my 10ft pole list. The scheduler, Matt, is disrespectful. He will ask you for a favor, then talk to you like trash after you complete the favor. The MSC is great overall not considering Matt's rude behavior.

Sorry, what I was getting at was did the scheduler instruct you not to order items not listed.

In the past, I asked about ordering a different item and the scheduler told me it was fine as long as it was the same size.

I haven’t had any issues or responses about items I’ve ordered so far.
Yes my scheduler told me the only acceptable items to order were the cleaning spray and the dish soap. He said that the other shoppers are either doing a different shop or they are doing it wrong. Then today he sent out an email to at least all his people on this project as several others have said they got the email. I do not know how many schedulers they have on this project. His email reminded everyone that they are only allowed to order those two items (although there seem to be 2 different cleaning items so three items.) He said there were no alternatives allowed in that item category. His email indicated that if someone orders something else they may have issues getting reimbursed for it.

My opinion is the pickers/packers do not think about it the individual order as they are fulfilling more than one at a time.

The odds of us getting the same picker each week is slim and them remembering it is even slimmer.

In my area, they have hundreds of orders a day and a team of 50+ pickers.

I’m not even sure the feedback is given to the individual stores, I think it is collected and aggregated for corporate.
@sandyf

Did you mention you were aware other shoppers were purchasing different items? Just wondering what drove him to comment

"the other shoppers are either doing a different shop or they are doing it wrong."

So, I usually do a variety of brands for different items in the order. I have ordered a different brand in the past for ice cream, cheese, yogurt, bread, and cleaner. After this email went out I wanted to play it safer. I ordered two items that were not 365 brand and I definitely had the option to order all 365 items. My shop has been reviewed already and there was no feedback about my purchase. Just FYI. But, I also have never gotten any feedback about my brand or product selections in the past.
I find I can only afford something on sale in other brands as they are generally more expensive. Last week Ben and Jerrys ice cream was less expensive than 365! I have not had an issue ordering non 365 on food items except for reaching the max budget quickly.
The issue for me is the narrow definition of cleaning supplies.
In part, they are observing whether the groceries are packaged appropriately. The correct packaging will keep the cold items cold throughout the entire delivery window. Yeah, I received an item that was damaged with holes in it and unsafe to eat. I put it in the report but did not get to eat it or replace it. That was the only thing I did not get to eat out of the 3 orders I have made.
I have been admonished for ordering an organic version of meat, when regular was OOS. The price was still in spec so it was stupid of them to complain. I also got specific orders from the scheduler to add a specific produce item. Then the reviewer kicked back my report because there was no produce on the powerpoint instructions. I sent a copy of the scheduler's instructions and never heard back from the reviewer. My report was accepted though.
Did you order it in place of the ground beef and was it prepackaged? If so, the issue was probably that you were not able to evaluate an order from the butcher counter.

Since the email I’ve done an order. I’ve successfully ordered Ben & Jerry’s (it was cheaper) and the 365 toilet cleaner. I usually don’t stray too far. Once I ordered cheese cubes and although it was 365 and the right weight I did get negative feedback because it wasn’t in a block lol
