Just got a delivery that was 1 hour and 20 minutes early before the start of my window. The delivery was made at 5:41pm when my window was 7 pm to 9 pm. I am looking through my emails as this happened before but I don't see any guidelines that would match in the Coaching Guide. As I recall in this instance I should start taking temperatures 2 hours after the delivery - or is it 1 hour and 45 minutes? Any advice?
If your delivery window was 7 PM - 9PM you need to take temperatures at 8:45 PM. Regardless of when the order is delivered, you need to take temperatures 15 minutes before the end of the *scheduled* delivery window. On my copy of the guidelines, this information is on page 23 (of 33).

Wow - your reviewer was okay with the English muffins? I got dinged on that ...
I just keep coming back to this thread and coveting Whole Foods shops! Congrats to those of you who found them and get assigned. They sound detailed but also like some good free grub!

Ordered them twice. They are the cheapest bread items. I think i'm going to try bagels too. I think someone else wrote they ordered bagels before. The editors are diff and do their own thing---I've never been reimbursement for more than 35 even when I ordered all 365 items or had a sub item given.

this happens to me a lot and I hate it. Especially when it was summer time. Unfortunately you have to take the temp at the end of your delivery window. If the temperatures were within the safe range I kept it but if it was too warm I had to throw out the food.
Asking for input. If my shop is rejected and they ask me to do it over - for example you forgot screenshots or ordered a wrong item, then I'm out the cost of those groceries. Yes I acknowledge that part is on me and I own the mistake. In the 20 shops I've completed, I missed 2. But then they expect me to redo it and I feel like, what is the incentive for me to redo the shop? I guess the chance that I might get kicked off the project? Otherwise if I failed the shop I'd rather eat the $50 loss and NOT redo the shop just for another basket of groceries I don't need.

How did you fail the shop? I know I’ve had a point deducted for buying the wrong item or not answering a question correctly. I’m just curious because it’s a costly shop and I agree that eating the loss is better than redoing the shop
Who hasn't been submitting their reports the same day? I thought the guidelines were pretty clear but I guess people slipping lol

Who else got the email from the scheduler? He seemed pretty intense with his "reply to this email" smh.

I've worked with this scheduler heavily in the past, but for a different project where I was basically sole-sourced it for my area. I wouldn't say he's intense, but actually pretty professional and nice, given you know your role and stick to it. If anything, he's just doing more due diligence that the people in the project have reminders to make sure he's on top of the project he's managing.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.

You answered part of your own question about staying on the project. But re-doing is essentially getting closer to breaking even for this round assuming the redo will be acceptable, reimbursed and paid.

From a business and professional perspective for your work as a 1099 mystery shopper, it's more on the work and relationship with the MSC you're working with, NOT the groceries you may or may not need.

Agreed. Write the groceries off as a loss and move on.

Maybe intense is the wrong word, I don’t mind him, but the reminders are a bit annoying at times. I know he’s just managing his project to ensure he gets paid, and I know people often don’t follow guidelines, so it’s just more of my opinion.

Side note - how long is this project running again?
Has anyone else ordered English muffins or bagels without penalty? The guidelines state that sliced bread loaf or a pack of buns should be ordered. But just below the first-choice bread images, this is stated: "In addition to above, other styles of bread are allowed to be ordered."

They said one year. Hopefully that will be extended.

Not sure on the details of the project.

But as for the schedulers for that MSC, I’m pretty certain they’re more like salary employees. I’ve seen their employment job listings and maybe they get bonus pay for their projects? Either way, could be because of their location, but they don’t get paid enough for the kind of work they probably have to get through for their day to day.

Besides me?

I've ordered english muffins twice.

The location still needs to be shopped. If you dont re-shop your backup shopper will likely get the assignment and you'll be booted from the project.
Yes, besides you and the person who stated they got dinged for ordering this item. Based on your different outcomes, it sounds like a risky proposition.

I got the email as well. I haven’t replied yet but yes I turn my reports in same day, usually within an hour, 2 if I’m just making it home and feeling sluggish
That was me that got dinged for the English muffins. I wonder if the reviewer/editor I got that time maybe was unfamiliar with English muffins? Back in a former life, I had a boss that literally asked me why English muffins were priced differently than muffins. I was flabbergasted.

I have made several deviations from the preferred list in the same order now and done just fine with 10s on all shops and all items reimbursed. Thanks to everyone who shared; I would not have dared to try different items otherwise.

So far I've gotten different brands of bread, ice cream, yogurt, dish soap and I've gotten body wash.
I ordered bleach on my last shop. Waiting for detergent to go under $9 bucks so I could order.
Man, I wished I'd seen this before it was flagged/edited!!! I'm dying to know who the MSC is so I can get in on these shops! smiling smiley

I think the scheduler has been mentioned in a few posts. Reach out to him and he may place you as a backup shopper. You have to live in the delivery radius or be able to do pickup or Matt won’t be able to schedule you for shops if you are selected.
Anyone having issues with the Whole Foods Alcohol Purchase? Whole Foods shows no alcohol available AT ALL for my delivery account. Called Whole Foods and amazon and neither can tell me why. It is avaialble for Amazon Fresh Delivery but not Whole Foods. Not sure what is going on.

Many cities and states have restrictions on alcohol delivery. You may just not be able to have it delivered where you live. What state are you in?
I’ve been doing these shops for months with no issue with the alcohol delivery. It’s just in the last week it’s unavailable. I’m in Northern Virginia area.

Lucky you! I wish I'd get to order alcohol. Have never had it included. (yet, crossing fingers)
