Same - I would hold out for bonused shops especially since the reimbursement always leaves me several dollars short. (Yes, I know I could order the cheapest item.) Someone in my area is taking them at low fees, so no need to bonus them anymore or they are bonused just a few bucks.

I do order the cheapest items and they are still over reimbursement and don't get me started on the reimbursement for a shake that is $1.50 below the going price not to mention tax.

I got an offer to do a shop for $30 (highest ever for that particular location). The problem is, the location is closed for rebuilding. I had sent a message to the Help Desk when I first found out about this. I guess nobody's paying attention.

I am truly shocked that this many people shop/eat at Five Guys! I've never eaten there.
Actually they raised the reimbursement recently, and they're not too bad, at least for me. Ordering from the FG pp or website will be cheaper than a third party. However, if you order from a third party like Uber Eats or DoorDash, you can use one of their coupons, which i get frequently. That can help you easily stay under the reimbursement max.@ShopperGirly wrote:
I haven't seen any discussion on the 5G delivery shops. They are much underfunded.
So get a veggie sandwich, grilled cheese or hot dog. You don't just have to order a burger.@Luv2Travel123 wrote:
I'm just surprised. I've never eaten at one and there's 8 within 30 miles of my house LOL. Just never appealed to me, but then again I haven't eaten at McD's in over 20 yrs.

You will need to call in advance to find out if they are open. If you find out without going there that it is closed, you will get a much-reduced fee, but you won't have to leave your house. If you HAD to go there to find out that it was closed, you get a reduced fee also, but I didn't remember the calculation for that scenario.

If it is close by you can go and take the photo of the location and get half the fee -- only worth the 2 minutes if you are in the area.
It will probably get reposted with an extra week to do it, hopefully at a higher price. It seems like now with the counteroffers, we need to start asking for even more so that the counter is higher.@KokoBWare wrote:
So a shop at a hard-to-fill location that's a fairly long drive from me was on the board for today only at $30 with MAO. I've gotten $40 there in the past so that's what I asked for. I got the infamous and seldom-seen "counter offer." In this case, $35.
OK, I'll play. I dropped my ask to $37. "Counter offer": $35.
At this point I kind of felt like they were rubbing my nose in it, so I let it go.
They didn't get the location shopped (it's still on the board), but by god they saved $2.
@MisterBill wrote:
OK but how about MAO? Still getting accepted at the previous amounts or are suckers (oops shoppers) taking the before they get t a decent price? All the shops in my area are still available this week (it's shoppers-choice/one-shop week).@DRJ wrote:
Crazy low, stupidly low. I keep getting multiple emails for a shop at $1 over the self assign price ($13 vs $12) for a location that used to be regularly bonused to $19. I personally won't do a Five guys for less than $20 unless I happen to be virtually next door for other reasons. I'm seeing fewer and fewer $20 plus opportunities in this area. And don't even get me started on all the IPSOS restaurant shops being taken at base fees around here.
This is funny, I went back on the site today and when I typed in the ZIP of this location, I get the message with the pink banner that says "No new shops are available for you at this time." But when I type in a ZIP for another town within my search radius, shops for the first town appear. I wonder what that's all about lol. "How dare you turn down our counter offer!" ha ha ha@KokoBWare wrote:

They have fewer shoppers in my area, obviously. Or at least those willing to do it for the posted price. One location that they always have trouble filling has both shops available. Hoping the dinner shop stays available as it has, since I will be nearby for a dinner shop next Wednesday and would take the 5G if I can do it on the same trip. Another one that is closer to me has an online order dinner shop available. I might consider that if I can get my price, get the burger for my wife and pick up Chipotle for me nearby. The lunch shop at that location had a shake and got taken.@wrosie wrote:
Only MAO near me are the last 30 shops. The others are at $15 and someone already took one of them.
Delivery shops are still at $5 and later this month are at $9.
Yes, you'll get the current price, not the counter offer.@jewel1233 wrote:
Can you please help explain the new MAO system to me? I made an offer on two shops, and both received a counter offer. The shops are now listed on the website at the price I originally proposed. If I accept the shops, they will assign me at the counter offer price rather than the current price listed on the website.
