They sent emails to their movie portal shoppers a few months ago advertising the FG shops. Maybe they also advertised elsewhere. I think that the increased pool of shoppers and the higher reimbursement is making the shops more attractive, so they don't stick around. I don't take them for less than $25. Once I do, they'll hold it against me the next time I try to get a shop.@grrldude wrote:
I have had the exact same issue around here, with previously hard-to-fill shops gone by Thursday night, when fees reach $20. I used to do 5G shops twice a week, but currently haven't done one in 16 days. My minimum price on these is $22. Seems a little odd that we are all having the same experience...think there may be something going on, on the scheduling end?
That is not what I am seeing. This week's shop gets taken, and it's next week's shop that I am seeing for $10. Of course, it could also be that someone takes the shop, drops it, and it shows up again at the starting price, but once again that has not been my experience; it reappears at the higher price.@wrosie wrote:
Around here, the two locations start at $10 and $5 for delivery. Usually I'll see them get up into the $20-25 range and I've gotten $30 MAO. I was also able to come in right at the old reimbursement here, with a small burger, perhaps $0.25 over or so.
Last go around once they got to $18, they reset to $10. I don't think it's necessarily new shoppers taking the shops, but the MSC removing them from the job board.
There is a shop sitting at the opening $10 and I've been getting Samantha offers for $15 the last three days.
I think they are just trying to reset the shop price point downward. Just my opinion.

.... I can't remember the last time I saw a MAO.

The MAO I accepted today the great MAO flag was kind of hidden behind the amount. In other words, not visible like in the past, just a tinge of green. Once I clicked on the shop I could very plainly see it.

I am interested in 5 Guys shops...can someone share with me which company? Thx
It's not a quirk. They only allow one shop a day at each location. Someone must have taken another shop for that date. I'm in a similar situation, I would do the dinner shop at a location that I'll be near on Sunday, but that date is not available. The person who took the lunch shop must be going then. It pays to keep checking, since the other shopper might reschedule.@BabyBooey19 wrote:
Anyone having Five-Guys scheduling quirk? There's a few bonuses FG in my area- I'd be willing to do one. Dates say 5/5-5/7. But the drop down menu only allows me 5/5 and 5/6. I'd have taken the 5/7.
Huh? I've never heard of that. Where are you seeing it? BTW, the offers they sent out for the coming week's shops were for small raises. You need to wait until Thursday for better offers.@joanna81 wrote:
I received a few offers overnight - I would normally grab these at this price but since they still have that little note in their contract about requiring $50 before a payment will be sent, I'm not sure I want to pick them up.
Because we weren't planning to have dinner until 5:30 or so, and I didn't want to have to kill that much time between FG and my dinner shop. So I had planned to get there around 3:30. Then I hit traffic, but the problems started when took an alternate route because a dump truck was driving in front of me and I didn't feel like going slowly in back of him on a windy one-lane road. And Google Maps let me down, did not suggest staying off the highway to avoid traffic. Just a cascading of bad luck.@hbbigdaddy wrote:

Isn't lunch until 3:45? How do you not make that in time. That's late in the day. I get if you were doing a route and fell behind...but being home and leaving late doesn't make sense to me. I guess if you were watching kids and waiting for spouse or relative to come and relieve you...that might cause a problem.
Was planning to take the FG home for the next day. This location is 30+ minutes from my house (40+ yesterday), so I figured I'd save a separate trip for the FG and do it when I was already over there. The dinner shop was a last 30 minutes deal, so that wasn't going to work.@hbbigdaddy wrote:
That's fine. I wasn't passing judgement...just not understanding how you couldn't make it by 3:45.
Were you planning on eating at both places or you were just doing the 5g for the pure $$$ and save the food or give to a homeless person? I don't like to pick up both lunch and dinner shops on the same day unless I plan on not eating one of them or feeding one person at the first place and feeding the other person at the 2nd place.
That's one thing I like about Panda and Sonic...no real time constraints for a specific meal period.
That's odd. My order is usually ready when I get there, except for the fries. Did you go to the register to tell them that you were there? It doesn't have to be at the pickup station.@dafizisblue wrote:
I took a $25 online order shop yesterday. I waited 9 minutes at the counter before any of the crew members even made eye contact and a total of 27.5 minutes to wait for my order. I took the online order so I wouldn't have to eat in but I might reconsider the same offer next time based on my experience yesterday.
They normally greet me at the cashier station when I'm there for a pickup order and get my name, but when they don't, I tell whoever is at pickup that I am waiting for my order if I see someone there. They're not expected to greet you if you are just standing there, since they have no idea if you're just waiting for your order that was placed at the counter.@dafizisblue wrote:
I thought about it, but the guidelines do say go to the pick up counter. They literally called out and handed orders to guests and flat out ignores me. It was 4:30pm on a Friday and I will admit they were busy, but not so busy to wait 9 minutes before acknowledging me or almost 30 minutes for me to get my order. I could almost sit down, order and eat at Red Robin in that amount of time and probably for cheaper as well.
