I know. I wonder how long they can sustain those high prices before people quit them. Their dining rooms used to be Chipotle full. Now, not so much.
I'd been waiting for the delivery shop to go to $10. It was still $5 yesterday, and I didn't look until noon-ish today. There are some delivery shops outside of my area that are still left from last month.@sstsau wrote:
All the delivery shops in my area were taken at $5. All the online shops are gone for this week as well. I haven't done a 5G shop for probably half a year now since they are so popular here.
Not me, my shop in the US is still scheduled for today.@ddp2008 wrote:
I am in Canada and had 3 shops cancelled by the firm stating that "his cancellation was necessitated either by the Client or caused by an internal issue on our end" Anyone else see this?
That's too bad. My local FG is reasonably priced, I can even afford a regular fries and little hamburger now, along with a botlled soda. Sadly, this location doesn't let you order fountain drinks with online orders, just bottled. It's odd, because a different location in the area that must be owned by the same franchisee (they have the same prices) does have fountain drinks on their online ordering menu. I'm trying to figure out if I should mention it in my report. I would much prefer to get a fountain drink to a bottle.@HonnyBrown wrote:
I finally see the increased reimbursement. Unfortunately, I can only get a grilled cheese or veggie. These prices are crazy.

Got a call just now from a new number for the scheduler. This guy was very chatty while still wanting to keep it a secret who the Client was. I told him just get to the point.
He was offering $25 and I said I needed $27. He placed me on hold to check. When he came back, he was then able to tell me every price I had done this location for in the past. He wanted me to justify the fee I was requesting.
I just told him I could do it for $27 tonight or to stop wasting my time.

My regular scheduler calls me on Thursdays with an $18 fee. I accept because he typically gives me 3 shops on the spot. Once, he did $25.
A new to me scheduler texts me on Fridays but I'm already booked.
Today, Samantha had a fee of $21 for a location I did for $20.

How long is it supposed to take for Samantha requests to be processed? I sent one in more than 24 hours ago and have not heard back, and the shop is still available. My email is not the same as at the company, but my experience is that these are not automated so that wouldn't matter, plus my shopper number is right at the top of the email that I included in my response. You'd think that they would process them at least at the beginning or end of the business day. They really should just automate the process and allow you to accept it online at the offered price. I thought I saw them trying something like that recently.
I just changed my email address on their system to match what I send my emails from, we'll see if that makes any difference. It hasn't mattered in the past.
Well, given that the shop dates available were starting today, you'd think that they would assign it before then. I'm sure that other send out lower offers than my $27 since my address is further away from the shop, but if they don't want to pay it, they should just send out the lower offers first, and then send to the people further away. And this location seems to be a difficult one for them to fill, so I would think they'd be happy to get someone willing to do it. But of course we have found that isn't how they work when they reject offers for locations with numerous available shops.@sstsau wrote:
I may be wrong, but I think the reason why it isn't an automatic accept for Samantha offers is because these offers go to multiple shoppers. So the MSC has a choice of which shopper to assign the shop to depending on who responds. Perhaps the amounts offered differ by shopper, so they may choose someone who accepts an offer for a lower fee than the one you were offered. For example, say you are offered a $25 fee for a shop, and another shopper is offered $23 for the same shop. If both of you reply that you'd like the shop, the MSC may assign it to the other shopper.
I think Samantha shop offers differ from the other type of email offers this MSC has (although I haven't received one of those for a while). Those ones were automatically "reserved" shops for you (the email would say something like "shop reserved for 24 hours!" ), at usually only a $2 increased fee, and all you had to do was click through the link to accept the shop. There wasn't an email reply for these types of offers, but of course the fees offered were not very good (as I said above, only $2 more if I remember correctly).
In my experience, Samantha offers could take 1-2 days to "process". I also wonder whether they delay in assigning a Samantha offered shop because they are hoping someone who is browsing the job board will accept the shop at a lower fee first, thereby negating the Samantha offer to you.

@MisterBill I'm sorry you had a poor delivery shop. It's always frustrating when things don't go well, and I'd be upset about not receiving my milkshake (from your previous posts, I know you enjoy those!) or drink. Unfortunately, I've found that neither 5G nor the delivery service are very helpful when there ARE problems with the delivery order. Both seem to blame the other rather than making any attempts to fix the issue.
