I've been getting very high value Samantha offers for shops that are a pretty good distance from me that I did once previously. I did a delivery shop near my daughter's house, and the FG is 70 miles from my house. I'm getting $27 offers to do in in-person shop at that location. Sadly, I won't be able to do a shop the next time I'm at her house.

New price increase at my local FG. Veggie sandwich, regular fries and large drink up to $13.82 from $13.30 a month ago. I'm sure I won't get any sympathy from folks whose FG are even more expensive.

Ours is definitely more, but I sympathize. I’m really seeing the Jack in the Box prices go up and the reimbursement isn’t increasing at all. If anything they’re letting them expire at lower offers on the board. Odd.

At one location I was over $14.20 for a veggie bowl, little fries and a regular drink.

It costs me less to just stay home, rather than drive to Five Guys, and then the reimbursement doesn't even cover the whole order in full. $9. just doesn't do it. I like Five Guys, but I can't lose money just to get a "free" hamburger.
There's over 100 5 Guys shops still available in my area, and all still at $9. Obviously no one wants to work for near nothing. I wonder how this weeks 5 Guys will shake out. They start tomorrow...
You're taking things out of context. You're including shops for future weeks, and of course they're going to be at $9 unless people are foolish enough to take them for that price. Even this week's shops are only $9 still, as you noted. I'm sure that the current week's shops go up tomorrow, as they always do. And they'll end up at $18 when no one takes them, and then you can ask for more and hopefully get it.@Maryanne J wrote:

I think it's foolish that some people are willing to take them for $9, but obviously some do. And FG gets many real customers who pay out of their pocket to eat there, which most of us here also find crazy. If they didn't, they would not be able to pay for all the mystery shops.

It appears that they've raised the base price to $10. No increase in the reimbursement level.

So, Jasmine called me last night to ask me to do my local FG, which I apparently had just gone back into rotation for because I had not seen the shops available when I checked the day before. She asked me to do this week's dinner, and I said OK, but only for my usual $25. She said that she would put in for the amount I got on my last shop, which was $25. It's almost 1pm, and I have not been assigned the shop, so either they rejected the request or whoever is supposed to approve them isn't doing their job. It turns out they have two dinner shops available, so obviously last week's shop never got done. I don't really care that much, I prefer lunch shops, and next week's dinner has a shake, so if they do not approve me I will wait. Next week's lunch shop seems to be gone already.@MsJudi wrote:

Hunh...I've seen some at $28 in my area through the Samantha offers. Base rate by Saturday is already 18 right now.
They are apparently trying a new approach this week. This weekend's shops are already up to $15. The previous week's shops are still at $18, and I never got the shop assigned that Jasmine had put in my $25 request for.
I no longer get calls from the overseas schedulers but when the calls stopped the Samantha offers started.

The overseas scheduler called me for the same location I'd spoken to Jasmine about on Sunday, and I told her that I'd do it for $25. She put in the request, but it's apparently been rejected again, since it's been over an hour and no assignment. This is a first for me, not being able to get the $25 I've always gotten. I think that others here had reported getting rejected, but I was still getting approved.
This location currently has two regular dinner and one late dinner shop available.

Bad Economic times creates opportunities for companies. People have fewer options. They will work harder for less.
People will counter "but everywhere is hiring" -but why aren't the positions full?
I'm not sure what your point is here. But the answer to your second question is that people don't want to do that job anymore, and in some cases the low immigration rate in recent years has reduced the pool of people who ARE willing to do it.@Tanischri87 wrote:

Your first observation runs counter to what we see here, with many shops going untaken, even at $18.

Third month in a row, same location of Five Guys. Rejected my MAO in the afternoon, and call me that evening to accept it. Each time I have upped my price successfully. Waste my time, you pay for it.

And just like that, I got my $25 for the dinner shop with shake. Would love to know who is rejecting some and approving others. I had not tried MAO on the others that they'd apparently rejected the scheduler submission on because I was waiting for the shake shop.
At least now the schedulers can stop calling me.

They haven't increased the fee on the delivery shops yet this month. They usually go to $10 by the 2nd. Given that the $15 reimbursement likely doesn't cover the purchase (they did not increase it when the in-person reimbursement went up), it's crazy that they are still at $5.
$25 "hot shop" fell into my lap today. Bonus is that in my pricey-to-live area, this location is one of the lower priced ones, even with burger the price only came in 56 cents over reimbursement.
Between their failure to bump up the $14.20 reimbursement and the current cost of gasoline I'm doing a lot fewer of these than I used to.
