FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

A location I regularly shop for $18 is on the job board for $12. I accepted a Samantha offer for $20. This is the second shop I have done at this location for this amount.

I will do a Five Guys shop anytime I'm hungry. I always go over the reimbursement, but I don't care too much because with the fee/bonus there is always a net gain. Furthermore, from my perspective, anytime I don't have to go in my pocket for something (in this case food) that I was going to buy anyway, I win. I'm hungry. If there are no food joint shops available, guess what, I have to go in my pocket to buy me something to eat. So again, if I can spend other peoples money and put something IN my pocket at the same time, it is a win win for me no matter if I go a little over the reimbursement. However, I am eating too many gosh darn burgers and fries! I miss my other food shop options like Panda Express, El Pollo Loco, Flame Broilers, and Farmer Boys.

Yes, since covid shutdowns for me. Lunch and dinner, and sometimes breakfast feasts at hotel buffets. Now I gotta cook!
I used to work in the city. Between Chipotle, MOD Pizza, Honey Grow and 5Guys, all of my meals were covered.

I guess I'm fortunate because I can get a little cheeseburger, small fry and regular drink within the reimbursement amount where I live. I shop for the meal as much as the fee. I don't think I'd feel full or satisfied with just a veggie sandwich (just my personal preference), so I'm at least going to order what I would enjoy. I take the extra fries home and either microwave them or bring them back to life in the air fryer.

My view is that the bonus has to cover the amount they don't reimburse. That having been said, I rarely do one for base fee anymore. Apparently, no one else in my area will do one for the base fee either since they almost always get either an MAO or Samantha even after the first raise from $9 to $12.
Some idiot in my area took a lunch shop at one of my usual locations for the base fee this week, since it was gone by the beginning of the week. I generally get $25 for that location (and got the dinner shop for that), and they are pretty much always available when they do MAO, so I don't understand what the person was thinking.

Publix? That is supermarket rather than restaurant..

Some of the places that listed above went dry a while prior to COVID. COVID wiped down the rest...

You'll get it for $25 when they flake.

$13.01 for a veggie sandwich, no cheese.

i'll never find out, since I took the dinner shop. Did a MAO and got $25. Slightly inconvenient since I'm usually there around lunch, but I'll just do my other stuff in the area first and plan to get to FG at 4:15 or later.

$12.74 for me today with the little fries and small drink at one of my usual spots. At my closest restaurant (which I am doing tomorrow) I can get a regular fries and large drink and stay under the limit. I'll need to make sure that they have not raised their prices since I last shopped them.
What happened to the "FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!" thread?? I clicked on the link from an earlier email notification, and it said that it was gone. That thread had lots of good information in it.

They are wrong.

I checked with schedulers in the past. They notified me that I MUST order burger or hot dog, etc. with bun only.
That is what I do, I also figure out how many miles I have to drive and I will get a shop to cover the mileage if I can. And the tolls which are low compared to PA and NJ and NY. Here they are going to a license plate reader which messes up the getting reimbursed quickly from one MSC.

If anyone really cared enough, you could write off the non-reimbursable part as a business expense and take the deduction.
You don't have a back seat in your vehicle?

They wouldn't make it on the car ride home.
Yeah, that's pretty scary that a scheduler would give incorrect info like that. And it's not even like they could be confusing the part where it says what FG prefers that you order, since that says a burger, not a hot dog.

I wondered that also.

Well, the thread is back. Maybe just renamed? The August delivery shops include a shake. They never seem to go above $10, even when they roll over to the new month, so I took my local shop before someone else could. Last month's shop without the shake is still available for $10. There is one location in my area (but not close enough to deliver to me) that currently has three delivery shops available, all at $10.

It looks like the threads were combined. I'm gad the main one is back. It has a lot of good info.

HUGE NEWS! The reimbursement has been increased to $14.20 for this week's shops! Not sure how they got that number, and it still shows $12.75 in the CPI and guidelines.

That is pretty huge! I noticed that prices have gone up a bit at my local so I'm surprised and pleased to see that the reimbursements have as well.
They must have increased their fixed costs. That is good for us!

Thanks Mister Bill!

I'm seeing this only for curbside pickup shops. The dine in shops are still $12.75.
I noticed this as well when browsing the job board just now, but the reimbursement still shows $12.75 for future shops after this week. I'm wondering if they will all change to $14.20 going forward?
Indeed, they should all be modified beginning with this weeks phase. The team is working through the updates.

Thanks! Will delivery shops also be increasing? Seems like an odd amount to increase to, but I guess it's based on some average amount people spend.
