I'm not sure how much you've been getting, but I ask for $25 for most locations, which is the typical price they go to online, and you'd think that they'd know by now that they are going to have to pay it and should just get it scheduled early and not have to keep making calls to people who won't take it.@maverick1 wrote:
My last MAO was declined 4 days ago. I just looked online and see that shop is still posted.
I'm not moving my fee request lower. Nope. Nada. Same level of effort at reduced pay? No bueno.

A scheduler called for a shop with a $20 fee. I asked them to look up my previos fee: $25. Call me back on Saturday.
Samantha offers before the weekend are worthless.@KokoBWare wrote:
Samantha offered me $17 a few days ago for a location 45 miles away. ROFL. Straight to the trash file.

BTW, next month's delivery shop has a shake.

They may have raised the reimbursement for the delivery shops (meal) but they haven't raised the reimbursement for the shake itself. Near me the shakes are all over 6$ to start, even before tax so there's still some out of pocket. But still cheaper than paying out of pocket for the whole shake!
Today she's up to $20!@MisterBill wrote:

Figures. Trash company.@wrosie wrote:
I know they raised the food reimbursement because you need at least $15 to order on the company website.

Also straight to trash file.

Do they really reimburse separately of just total reimbursement vs. total food cost? I would think that creates more work than necessary.

As I mentioned, it's a 45-mile drive one way. If you want to drive me, I'll take the $20.@hbbigdaddy wrote:
I'm not saying you should take $20, but what other MSC offers a fast casual shop with $20 pay?
If it's a local one to me, I will take $20 minimum. But there are some locations that reach $30 and higher that are further from me, so I won't take $20 on those.
But I'm thinking of other "fast casual" shops and how they routinely pay $10 or less.

On the contrary, limited use of the app is what usually gets you coupons. They more than cover the added price of ordering through them. Of course, if you don't have one then it doesn't make sense to use them if you have to go out of pocket for your food. It's too bad the FG website/app doesn't give you the priority delivery option. And I tipped $7 last week and still had another delivery before mine, which was actually further away from where my order was being delivered.@wrosie wrote:
I've found in my area, if I'm not ordering during prime time (ie. 5-8 pm most nights), a $5-6 tip covered by the delivery reimbursement on a $16-17 order is usually enough to get me priority delivery from the driver.
I usually order from the Five Guys site because the delivery service sites charge more for the food.
I have only used Uber eats and door dash once each so I don't get discount offers.
Needless to say I don't order delivery other than mystery shops.
You're still using 3rd paty delivery. When ordering direct from FG, they have DoorDash fulfill your order. And the 3rd party services have a guarantee if the delivery is late or messed up. Ordering direct from FG, you are ot a customer of the delivery service and can't get any compensation. I assume that you're saying that you don't want to do a delivery order at all. That's your choice. I agree that the food does not arrive hot, but their fries heat up very nicely, and the delivery shop is very easy.@hbbigdaddy wrote:
I don't care if it's a shop or not. I'm not using 3rd party delivery. I want my food fresh and I'm not that lazy to go get it. I would rather pay for my own food and have it be hot, then have food paid for by an MSC on a shop and risk not getting it or getting it cold.
Pizza delivery from the main chains like back in the 80s/90s can still be trusted, but I've never ordered from the 3rd party stuff and I'm not about to. Only way I would do it, is if I could figure out a way to be the driver assigned to the order, so I would do the shop and do my own delivery. But I'm not interested in figuring it out (if possible).
Because if the normal price of your order is over $20 due to the higher prices on the 3rd party app, using the coupon can bring it down below the max reimbursement and prevent you from going out of pocket. You can probably even afford the two-patty regular hamburger and a regular or large fries if you're getting 50% off.@wrosie wrote:
But how does a discount help me on my next order if the MSC only reimburses for YOUR meal unless you have to order to get over the minimum amount?
Unless you order without a mystery shop?
I still wouldn't pay $7.50 plus tax tip and delivery charge for a burger and fries plus tax tip and delivery charge.
I just don't see the benefit.
