My last MAO was declined 4 days ago. I just looked online and see that shop is still posted.

I'm not moving my fee request lower. Nope. Nada. Same level of effort at reduced pay? No bueno.
I'm not sure how much you've been getting, but I ask for $25 for most locations, which is the typical price they go to online, and you'd think that they'd know by now that they are going to have to pay it and should just get it scheduled early and not have to keep making calls to people who won't take it.

Oh, No! (I had to smiling smiley ) Over 2X your number MisterBill. And I rec'd that for several years every month for a location quite a distance from me.

A scheduler called for a shop with a $20 fee. I asked them to look up my previos fee: $25. Call me back on Saturday.

"I told myself to quit you; but I don't listen to drunks." -Chris Stapleton
I guess they are always hoping some new shopper will come along and accept the shops for less than what reliable shoppers have done for months or years.

That's apparently what happened in my area until two weeks ago when I got two calls to do the two locations near me for the first time since July, at my normal $30 price.
Honey I got a call at 2 PM. She offered $18. I told the scheduler I would the lunch shop that day at $30. She said she could only offer $22 but sent my offer to her boss. I don't think the shop ever got filled but it did disappear from the board.

I rec'd a call and said nearly the exact same thing. LOL
I got a call also offering $20. I said I would do it for $25. They said $20 was the highest.

For the first time in months, I saw MAO on the website and put in for $25 for a location I always did for $25. They actually accepted. I have refused to do these for less than I had in the past.
My local FG delivery shop is available and up to $10, but it seems like their system is once again not showing in-person shops after you've done the delivery shop. I am going to be back in rotation for the in-person shop there again next week and don't want to be blocked from getting that more lucrative shop. I was at my daughter's house this weekend and did a delivery shop there and no longer see the in-person shops for that location. Oddly, I do see next month's delivery shop.

BTW, next month's delivery shop has a shake.

Samantha offered me $17 a few days ago for a location 45 miles away. ROFL. Straight to the trash file.

Samantha offers before the weekend are worthless.

They may have raised the reimbursement for the delivery shops (meal) but they haven't raised the reimbursement for the shake itself. Near me the shakes are all over 6$ to start, even before tax so there's still some out of pocket. But still cheaper than paying out of pocket for the whole shake!

Do they really reimburse separately of just total reimbursement vs. total food cost? I would think that creates more work than necessary.

I know they raised the food reimbursement because you need at least $15 to order on the company website.

Today she's up to $20!

Also straight to trash file.

Figures. Trash company.
I'm not saying you should take $20, but what other MSC offers a fast casual shop with $20 pay?

If it's a local one to me, I will take $20 minimum. But there are some locations that reach $30 and higher that are further from me, so I won't take $20 on those.

But I'm thinking of other "fast casual" shops and how they routinely pay $10 or less.

Yes, there is a separate limit on the reimbursement amount for the shake. It has to be reported separately for both onsite and delivery shops. That has "always" been true.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I love F G and would def do for $20. I think it's a great price for a delish burger, especially if it's delivery or online!!

For delivery shops, you can order from third party services and use coupons. Uber Eats regularly sends me 50-60% coupons off a minimum $20 order. With the shake shop you can easily hit that, and maybe with a regular shop if you get a regular burger and large fries. I think that the in-person shop still only reimburses $5.50 max for a shake. Also, when using Uber Eats you can choose to pay an extra $2.99 to be the only order delivered, as opposed to the drive making another stop along the way (or out of the way as happened to me last week). The service fee reimbursement is high enough to cover that.

When I did my delivery shop near my daughter last week, I was able to get a little cheeseburger, large fries and bottled drink for almost exactly $20 with tax. I did not use UE because I had an offer for FG on my credit card (which oddly did not get triggered by the purchase).

As I mentioned, it's a 45-mile drive one way. If you want to drive me, I'll take the $20.
Sorry...missed the 45 mile drive part. I thought you were talking in general and not for long distance trip.
I've found in my area, if I'm not ordering during prime time (ie. 5-8 pm most nights), a $5-6 tip covered by the delivery reimbursement on a $16-17 order is usually enough to get me priority delivery from the driver.

I usually order from the Five Guys site because the delivery service sites charge more for the food.

I have only used Uber eats and door dash once each so I don't get discount offers.

Needless to say I don't order delivery other than mystery shops.
I don't care if it's a shop or not. I'm not using 3rd party delivery. I want my food fresh and I'm not that lazy to go get it. I would rather pay for my own food and have it be hot, then have food paid for by an MSC on a shop and risk not getting it or getting it cold.

Pizza delivery from the main chains like back in the 80s/90s can still be trusted, but I've never ordered from the 3rd party stuff and I'm not about to. Only way I would do it, is if I could figure out a way to be the driver assigned to the order, so I would do the shop and do my own delivery. But I'm not interested in figuring it out (if possible).
Daddy, there was discussion about a year ago, and I could be wrong but it seemed unfeasible.

On the contrary, limited use of the app is what usually gets you coupons. They more than cover the added price of ordering through them. Of course, if you don't have one then it doesn't make sense to use them if you have to go out of pocket for your food. It's too bad the FG website/app doesn't give you the priority delivery option. And I tipped $7 last week and still had another delivery before mine, which was actually further away from where my order was being delivered.

You're still using 3rd paty delivery. When ordering direct from FG, they have DoorDash fulfill your order. And the 3rd party services have a guarantee if the delivery is late or messed up. Ordering direct from FG, you are ot a customer of the delivery service and can't get any compensation. I assume that you're saying that you don't want to do a delivery order at all. That's your choice. I agree that the food does not arrive hot, but their fries heat up very nicely, and the delivery shop is very easy.

As for being the driver on your order, the latest set of qualification questions for the delivery shops require you to certify that you are not a driver for one of the delivery services.
So let me get this straight. I need to use the third party delivery apps to get the discounts sent to me?

So if I use the app to order a fully reimbursed meal then wait a month or two, I'll get an offer for a discount on my next order?

They usually use door dash from their website orders.
But how does a discount help me on my next order if the MSC only reimburses for YOUR meal unless you have to order to get over the minimum amount?

Unless you order without a mystery shop?

I still wouldn't pay $7.50 plus tax tip and delivery charge for a burger and fries plus tax tip and delivery charge.

I just don't see the benefit.
@MisterBill

I'm not ordering delivery period. I am not willing to pay the extra cost and am not lazy. I don't care if there is a shop for it or not. I prefer my food HOT. Not reheated. I don't need to do the shops that badly. If I want the food, I will pay for the food, but I won't do delivery. Even for Super Bowl, when I have a house of 20-30 people, i go pick up 8 pizzas. I prefer to make sure things are right. Going and picking up is 5-10 minutes max of my time. Much better than waiting for someone to show up and hope they get it right.
And I did a delivery shop last month that defaulted to the wrong store. I called the 800 number immediately and cancelled the order.

The order was delivered from the wrong store and I still got credit back on my card. How can you complain about that.

Because if the normal price of your order is over $20 due to the higher prices on the 3rd party app, using the coupon can bring it down below the max reimbursement and prevent you from going out of pocket. You can probably even afford the two-patty regular hamburger and a regular or large fries if you're getting 50% off.
I'm getting a big bacon cheeseburger, little fries and a 20 oz soda under reimbursement.

I guess I could up it to large fries and a double burger IF I had the discount.
I might 3able to add another patty oy go to medium or large fries without any discount already.
