FIVE GUYS IS BACK!!

You are right. Smartphones own human beings. Own them. But the weather report leases people. Every time. All the parents are saying "Wintery Mix" to each other -- duh, winter, ice and snow. Then "make sure they drink. no heat exhaustion" I feel like asking why they schedule field day for kids in the hottest time. Then they invent all these big words nobody pronounces nor knows but it gets the masses in a tizzy.

Yeah, I live in a hurricane zone. You don't screw around with them, even if it's "just" a tropical storm. Glad to hear your area was just wet. Other's weren't so lucky.

Yes, I noticed that they were low. Also that the automated system did not roll out on 8/22 and the email doesn't mention it anymore.

Well, it's apparently here now. The emails they sent are impossible to read though.
I love flakes! When I checked the job board yesterday, there were no shops near me. A scheduler called today with 3 bonused shops.

No one ever calls me. Maybe I have opted out of phone calls?
Strange, or at least I thought. Doesn't Samantha normally offer a couple dollars more than what the shops pay on the board?

Today I got a Samantha offer for the same $10 fee that it was on the board for.

Yeah, the new Samantha offers are a bit disappointing. I'm getting emails offering several different locations, and it seems like the fee rises depending how far the location is from my home ZIP code.
I had two shops today around 30 miles from home and was looking for a third to make a small route. I checked the Five Guys shops near there. "Changed fee!" So I looked; it was $2 more than base, and I would have had to go slightly out of my way. No thank you.

I used to live in LA. Rain terrifies people and cripples the city.

It was just rain. Most of the areas were fine and nothing to worry about. News loves to sensationalize and scare people (hurricane in CA!!!). Went to dinner at CPK last night on my own dime with a costco gift card. I think the restaurant was not prepared for as many people as starting showing up. People stayed inside most of the day and realized nothing was going to happen and started coming out for dinner. I'm sure most of the In N Out, 5G, and other locations were open and operating just fine. I'm also sure there were some areas more affected than others where stores could have been closed.

I see the new round of five guys shops have been reduced to $9. They are taking after the "big I" msc.
5 Guys raises their prices and the MSC lowers their fees..great combo. I'll probably lose some weight since the offers have been not to my liking lately.

I got an offer to do a shop for $30 (highest ever for that particular location). Problem is, the location is closed for rebuilding. I had sent a message to the Help Desk when I first found out about this. I guess nobody's paying attention.

I noticed that one hard-to-fill location is still being offered at $10 for the initial low ball offer.
It's so insulting to have the fee lowered. I guess enough people are desperate for food that they are able to lower the fees. I feel like anytime I ever read about someone touting the benefits of MSing online it's usually a post about get burgers for free and 5G shops listed.

I'm also a bit of a hypocrite because I'll occasionally take these jobs at base pay as my lunch while out doing other shops. I guess the only good thing is they did raise the reimbursement.
I take them at base or whatever they're at if I'm traveling through also. So I guess I'm a hypocrite at least once a year.

Hopefully it's just a mistake.
I was away for a couple of weeks and obviously the Samantha self-assign is now live. I'm getting multiple identical emails, seems like the number of emails = the number of locations in the email. But the rates are crazy low. Have people been able to get their usual pries? I got a call from a scheduler two weeks in a row, but since I was out of the country and would have had to pay to answer the call, I sent it to voicemail (I don't think that they left one).

Crazy low, stupidly low. I keep getting multiple emails for a shop at $1 over the self assign price ($13 vs $12) for a location that used to be regularly bonused to $19. I personally won't do a Five guys for less than $20 unless I happen to be virtually next door for other reasons. I'm seeing fewer and fewer $20 plus opportunities in this area. And don't even get me started on all the IPSOS restaurant shops being taken at base fees around here.

OK but how about MAO? Still getting accepted at the previous amounts or are suckers (oops shoppers) taking the before they get t a decent price? All the shops in my area are still available this week (it's shoppers-choice/one-shop week).
I used to do one of these a week or two for $25. I have done maybe one in the past six months. There are no more make an offers and when they have "increased fees," it goes from $10 to $12, and they get taken. I am done with these.
If it is close by you can go and take the photo of the location and get half the fee -- only worth the 2 minutes if you are in the area.

Mrbill, the only ones I see in my area going to MAO are the 30 minutes before closing time.

I truly believe that if the shops aren't taken at what the MSC feels is reasonable they are not done.

Well, all three shops that I usually do are still available, and I can wait as long as necessary to get my price (I wouldn't do more than two this week, anyway). The price up to $15 now, but no MAO.

Some minor good news, I did the in-person and delivery shop at one location in early August and both shops are available to me again. So it seems like they fixed that issue.

Good luck Mr bill but in my area they all disappear at $20 and I used to get $30 up until 3-4 months ago when they disappeared at $20
