Yes, they were $22 for me, too, but had the MAO flag, so I did, and they were accepted. That might have been the case in your area as well. I had been getting closed out of one of them that's relatively near me because it had been taken before MAO was available.@hbbigdaddy wrote:
A couple landed on the board for $20-$22 in the greater Los Angeles area. They were quickly taken.
Disappointed in you, taking it for the posted price and under $25.@HonnyBrown wrote:
I self assigned for $22 thinking it was the new normal. A scheduler calls and I get two locations for $25 (Sunday and Monday).

All the shops here were taken before yesterday mostly at $10-12. Only shops available now are August shops starting at $10.
Must be some new shoppers signed up.
Last week, one location in my area had a last-minute dinner for $45, obviously a cancelled shop. Sadly, I wasn't interested in going there, especially for a dinner shop.@tigerdave wrote:

That has been the case in my area recently as well. My only chance at decent pay is if someone flakes at the last minute. First week of Aug. is up to $12 now, so I'm sure they'll be gone soon.

TLDR version: If they call you for a shop after the weekend, do not accept it without checking the current price on the website.
Longer version: I got called for my local FG today while I was out. I was offered $30, and the shop was not available when I looked yesterday, so I am sure it was a flake.I asked the scheduler what the price on the website was, and she said that she did not know. So I told her to hold on and I checked the price myself. It took several minutes, since the app shows available shops based on your current location, and I have not figured out how to get it to show others. I finally had to login to the website, and discovered that it was being offered for $35! So I told her that she should give it to me for that price. She claimed that she could not offer more than $30 and would not even send it for approval. So I told her to forget it, I'd just take it myself online. Only problem was that the shop was locked and I could not self-assign. So I had to call them back and got transferred to the scheduler, and this time she finally agreed to ask her supervisor (why wouldn't she do that the first time??) What should have taken two minutes had they been honest and offered me the website price took over 15 minutes, and it still was not assigned until a few minutes after that.
I had been hoping to get the online order shop for this coming week, but getting $35 now beat holding out and hoping that someone else wasn't going to take this week's shops. And now that I have the dine-in, I took the August delivery shop, which comes with a shake. Only got $5 for that one, but I have an offer for an extra 5% back at FG on my Bank of America credit card and wanted to use it on an expensive order, so I will order direct from FG. Last month's delivery shop ended up going for $15, but I didn't trust their system not to block me from getting the dine-in shop once I had the delivery shop assigned.
Yes, I have used it several times, so I only get 5% now. But I will use it on my Customized Cash Rewards card, which I have set the 3% category to online shopping (5.25% because I am a preferred customer at BofA) so I will get that plus the 5% offer for the delivery order, assuming that I place it through Five Guys, which I will.@klovie wrote:
All of the mind games, causes us to have to be more strategic to get what is best for ourselves. Good 4 U!
I noticed the 10% for FG on BANK of America and those who have used their card before for this particular offer are offered 5%.

But that was likely because they went on Make an Offer at the same time, at least in my area.@HonnyBrown wrote:
Me too, Mr. Bill. I am still trying to figure out the waiting game of the fee increases. Last week, they maxed at $22 and were gone from the job board.

Just noticed this in the latest Samantha email:
Note: New self-assign Samantha Offers coming 8/22
I wonder if that will cause shops to go at lower prices since it will be easier to accept an offer?
You should be good for next week.@KokoBWare wrote:
Does the three-week rotation get waived if you run into a closed shop? I lost a nice bonus today when my location was closed one day for an equipment repair (it was the last eligible day for the shop, no re-schedule available). Am I sidelined at this location for 3 weeks now?
Did your offer get rejected, or did someone else get it? If the latter, then maybe they aren't catching on and just took it for the posted price.@wrosie wrote:
Weekend shops were up to $20 with MAO yesterday. Offered my normal $20 and didn't get either.
Perhaps the newer shoppers are catching on.
