Well, if you put enough of the veggie toppings on a burger, it also gets messy. But yes, I have had everything fall off my sandwich. Yesterday the guy entered extra onions in addition to extra mushrooms that I requested, and it was a real mess. Fortunately, they have forks available. My wife doesn't get grilled mushrooms or onions on her burger anymore because it made it too messy. Also, you cannot complain about the burger being messy in the report if you ordered too many toppings.@weatherman2111 wrote:
I just remember all I tasted was basically slime and grease and it fell apart quickly. Without the cheese it was just bad.

You can always get a grilled cheese and have them put the stuff inside. That way it's not messy to eat.
They have raw onions, too. That's what my wife gets on her burgers rather than the grilled ones.@weatherman2111 wrote:
Quite understood. I tried the veg sandwich one time just to see. Would never do it again is all I meant. I also don't like the grilled onions, just the raw ones.
Can also put the chicken patty on the veggie sandwich.@Tarantado wrote:
I found out recently for me, the best way to make the most of the food without just throwing most of it away is to honestly just get the grilled cheese sandwich. I add onions and grilled jalapenos. I nibble on it for the evaluation, but use it the next day by adding eggs and a meat, kinda like an Eggs Over My Hammy, for those that are familiar with Denny's!!
Today, it was the grilled cheese sandwich with eggs and a leftover Spicy Chicken patty from McDonald's. Absolutely heartcloggingly delicious!
I just sent the help desk a question about the coupon, hopefully they will say that it's OK. The CPI say ""Are coupons allowed? YES, but only for the delivery company not Five Guys". So it doesn't say only for fees. I was able to put a regular burger, regular fries and bottled lemonade (this location does not do fountain deliveries for online orders) in my cart for just over the $20 minimum required to use the 50% off coupon. So it would come out to $10 plus tax, and not go out of pocket.@wrosie wrote:
I think the MSC means you can use a coupon to offset the delivery fees, not the actual food order itself.

I heard back from CS and they gave their blessing to using the Ober Eats coupon.

You are welcome to use an UberEats coupon for this shop. Thank you!
It makes the delivery shops much more reasonable. I get Uber Eats coupons all the time, but rarely use them because they're for delivery only. I got a regular (not little) cheeseburger, regular fries and bottled drink, and it cost around $12 after the coupon (plus delivery fees and tip, of course, the total was $24.70 with a $6 tip and $1.99 charge to be the only order the driver had). Could even have gotten the large fries, but didn't have room for the big container in the fridge. Plus, I'd just done a lunch shop today and took home some fries.@DRJ wrote:
That surprises me, but good to know!
A bit under six miles.@HonnyBrown wrote:
How far is your delivery Five Guys?
Do any/all of them deliver to you from the FG app or Uber Eats?@HonnyBrown wrote:
Okay that's good. Mine are 8 miles in 3 directions.

Even through the third party delivery services?@HonnyBrown wrote:
The location with the delivery option only goes out 5 miles.
I just got a Samantha offer of $39 for one of those. I still have no interest in doing it, even if it were the location nearest my house (which this was not).@KokoBWare wrote:
They seem to be going heavy on the "Late dinner" shops lately. I don't particularly like doing those but they seem to fetch bigger bonuses. Just broke my home-state record on one I did last night.
Do you track it to see where the time is being spent? Are you ordering from the FG site or a third party? When ordering through the FG site, the delivery is via DoorDash, at least in my area, and they may have another order to pickup or deliver before you get your food. For the Uber Eats delivery that I did last week, I was able to pay an extra $1.99 for priority delivery, which meant that the driver would only be delivering my order. Also, that 35 minutes includes time to cook the meal and then get a driver to pick it up.@wrosie wrote:
I can see the 5 Guys across the highway since the leaves are off the trees and wonder why it takes 35 minutes for a delivery when I get my burger in store in 5-7 minutes.

They obviously got someone to do the one they offered me, since I no longer see it listed.@weatherman2111 wrote:
I got 43 for one tonight. Apparently things are nuts right now.
I don't know where this location is, but the price where we are is about $52 (with two large drinks and two large fries) without tips or other charges.@shopperbob wrote:
My first 5 Guys was for a different company than the one having the contract for many years and paid, according to my log, $5+$12 in 2009. The following year the current MSC, under a different name, began paying me $7+$10 until I was deactivated in the Fall of 2010. I mention this to establish the below point.
Realizing some folks are uncomfortable following links, the below is a pasting from a diner. If it is accurate, 5 Guys has certainly changed.
A recently viral Tik Tok showed a meal for two at Five Guys—including two bacon cheeseburgers, two fries, and two drinks—coming out to an unimaginable fast-food total of $70.
I know this is an anomaly, but I can get a little burger, little fries and regular drink and stay under the reimbursement at my local FG. I also do a location where the only thing I can get for under reimbursement is a veggie sandwich. The prices vary wildly by location, since they are individually owned (or at least in groups).@gukka wrote:

For years, the base fee + reimbursement has never been enough to cover the cost of small burger + fries + beverage meal. It's gotten worse since the tax rate doubled to 12 percent, so even many of the bonus shops are money losing.
