It was not difficult, only time consuming because they have ways to know if you listened to the whole thing.

I'm interested in taking the MSPA Gold CD, and am curious about the benefits to be realised with Gold certtification. I'm already Silver, and have been shopping only since mid-Feb this year. March and April were pretty full for a newbie, but May I had to slack off due to a death in the family, out of state. Starting to pick up again, this month. Please advise. Thanks much.
Sorry about the death in your family, lynh. I am only Silver-certified, and it is just something to have. It does bring some advantages, but since I haven't charted them, it doesn't seem to be a big difference. With these certifications, they are mostly just for personal knowledge. It's not like I can go around telling my friends about it. Some of the MSP's care and some don't.
Thanks for your sympathy. Question: does the Gold CD also include a manual/book like the training course at a hotel? I don't do well without a manual. CD's are like movies to me, I fall asleep during them. Appreciate the info.
The gold CD is new within the past few months. I gather you are getting the CD for your about $100 bucks for computer study. One member did mention getting ready for it and not passing the on-line test and she was having difficulty getting a second try at it, though somewhere I read that you got a couple of tries at passing it. She didn't post the outcome of subsequent tries or if she was indeed allowed to take it again. I don't think anybody on this forum has done it and passed it and said anything about it.
What I would like to know is whether the trip to the conference is fun and rewarding. I would love to go if I could rather than use the CD. Talking to several people (in person) about their experiences would be nice if it works out well, but not if everyone there is just searching or using the talking time for other purposes.
