I shopped an expensive restaurant a day early (last day of the month where there were 31 days). The restaurant did well and the report showed their excellence. The MSP contacted them and they agreed to take the report a day early. I have no doubt that had they scored poorly, it would have been rejected.@vegbeauti wrote:
Has anyone ever accidentally shopped the wrong date before? What happened? How did the MSP handle it when you told them?
It sounds like an internal fluke. The shop was available both days but on your end, it showed only the 30th. This worked out great for you!@eyelove2shop wrote:
Yes, I did it on purpose. It was a Five Guys delivery shop. The dates for the assignment were 11/29-11/30. I wanted to shop 11/29 but when I attempted to select the date, only 11/30 showed. I accepted the 11/30 date and did the shop on 11/29. It was approved this morning.

I've been a mystery shopper for about 3 years. I've done hundreds of shops, but I guess I am still considered new compared to people who have been shopping for decades.
Embarrassing as it is, I admit I shopped the wrong date today. I cannot believe I made that mistake. I always thought shoppers who did that were like "those people," as in how can those people keep doing dumb stuff like that. Well, I spoke too soon, and now I'm one of those people. I thought this would never happen to me, but it did.
Has anyone ever accidentally shopped the wrong date before? What happened? How did the MSP handle it when you told them? How many times have you made this mistake? Has anyone else made this mistake isolated, like I did? Have you ever shopped for years without this happening, and then it happened? How bad is this, and will the MSP forgive me?
