It's Like Christmas Every Day!

I LOVE mystery shopping! I compare it to Christmas, but it could just as easily be Forrest Gump: Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get.

I live in a rural area. Most shops are at least a half hour away. At the start of every month, I wonder "WIll I make my minimum?" And every month, thanks in large part to this forum, I have more than exceeded my goals.

I've already made double my needs this month, but then I got an email from an MSC offering me a $10 phone shop. I'd never done this one before. It was fun, I learned something new, and best of all I was home to take a call from Harland Clarke inviting me to become a shopper for them (you folks highly recommended them so I'd sent an email saying I was interested). They have $40 shops in my area. Bam! Like Christmas I tell you!

Then today I got my email from Mystery Shopper Magazine (thank you Jacob) with an article on the EasyShift app. I checked it out, set up an account and ... nothing showed on the map. sad smiley Then I hit "Refresh Map." BINGO! Green dots all over the map. I reserved a shift for tomorrow, where I'm already going to be and it solves the question of what to do between the two shops I'm doing for MF.! And it pays $7-14 for an estimated 36-minute shop. No report. If accepted (get those photos right!) I'll have my $$ in 48 hours. Christmas I tell you! It's like Christmas!

Thanks for the info about the app. I never heard of it. I just installed it, filled out the info and there are probably 50 or more shops in a 15 mile radius of me. AND they are paying between $5 to $20!

I know, right? It's a godsend for me here in the wilderness. And the GPS function alerts you if you're driving past a location that has a shop available.
You’ll be happy with HC. Make sure you give yourself extra time on the Easy Shift. I stopped doing their jobs, but to each their own.
Is it snowing? Do you hear bells? Did you check for a sleigh coming out or the clouds? Merry Christmas.
I will check out that app. Haven't read the latest Mystery Shopper Magazine yet.Thanks.
I searched easy shift and there was nothing by that name. I did see shift gig through. Which is beside Field Agent.

Is that the same? I have not read the latest addition of MSM
Isaiah, I just typed "easy" into the google playstore and "easy shift" popped right up, first on the list.
Did my shift for them and it took 9 minutes longer than estimated which I can easily shave next time. I was notified this morning my shop has been approved and I will receive $8.50. The range of pay was $7.00-14.00 but to get top dollar there would have needed to be more than one of the target branded cooler.
Only two such job apps work on my phone. I have been trying to down load the others that are mentioned here. Oh, well. I'm glad that some of you are having success with the apps! If I can figure out how to get these things onto my phone, I may join you in this work. smiling smiley

Thank you for posting such a positive thread on the forum. It is great that you are using all of the resources that are available here. The members here have been an invaluable resource for myself personally. I spent ten years stuck in an office doing a job that I came to despise. I made one little baby step at a time to make some career changes. I now do merchandising and mystery shops full time. A special thanks to the small group of individuals here that do video shopping. They have provided a wealth of information which has helped me immensely.

Also, with HC, wait until the end of the month. The bonuses are crazy!

I've done a few Easy Shifts. Tried to do some more but the network stopped working when I was on the other side of timbucktoosville.
Easy shift can quickly become a pain after you realize the amount of time that's required and being on the lower end of the pay range. If you are the only shoppers in the area that knows of it....sit on the shifts for awhile, they go up in price.

They used to have Wegmans shops and those were the bee's knees. They were always the same requirements and I could kick em out in 15 minutes.
